@Pragyadeep Deka have you seen the trailer of Super Commando Dhruv ? It was released almost 5 years ago. And till date it has only 5,00,000 views. The movie would certainly fail, as many people in India don't know about these characters. It can only work if big stars make them, like Vidyut Jamwal.
The manga and anime industries of Japan struggled for a long time before becoming huge. We too have to take risks and audiences will need to show support for a while before movies based on Indian comic heroes get a grand stage
Unfortunately many are unaware of Indian comic heroes, including me. The makers should not copyright strike on TH-cam videos made on them. Only then they can become popular.
That outro was thrilling just by a voiceover, just imagine if great directors like SS Rajamouli sir or Rajkumar Hirani or Shankar Sir attempts to put that in the big screen, it will shatter all the records and give India it's very own superhero universe
Rajamouli & Shankar may end up making over top cringe with bad VFX(still I have hopes from them). Hirani is out of syllabus here, his movies solely relies on satire irrespective of genre(alien: PK, Medical: Munnabhai MBBS). I have huge hopes from Prashant Neel, level of detailing in KGF world, those gangs, characters, looks, environment, depth in storyline, He can easily create sort of dystopian superhero universe.

I still remember when I was a kid I used to purchase "Raj comics" from book shop and i always wanted more of those superheroes such as nagraj , doga , dhruv etc. And also now I think that Raj comics is a lot like marvel , it's superheroes their respective storylines are all authentic and special .
I used to read a lot of RC comics as a kid, and would really love to see some of my favs on screen, I feel that a Doga or Super Commando Dhruv movie would be really successful, and later on we build onto this world and expand into its mystical realms, and explore characters like Nagraj, Kobi/Bhediya etc. I hope this happens soon, really soon.
We have great VFX studios likes Red Chillies Entertainment and big production houses like YRF. But we lack confidence and trust on audience. I hope someday someone will take a leap and produce the much wanted superheroes that the whole world will look up with respect and gratitude.
i think our economy is also one of the reasons.... we don't have that big budget.... may be after a decade we would be able to produce movies on our superheroes & i wnt our directors to make ramayana & mahabharata come true on big screen.....with big big budget and to release it world wide.. ... baat capabale vfx teams ki nahi, baat hai film ko beche kaise. Film banne ke baad theaters aur cinemas usko khareed te hain. Agar yehi log bole ki isme koi bada naam nahi koi gaana nahi, yeh bike kaise ? bas isliye Bollywood stars ke peeche chalta hai. Distributors aur cinemas ne hi saara khel pel rakha hai.

@@parthtool I too said that they aren't sure about the audience. You're correct. Big Production houses can cash with big stars, why aren't they going for superhero movies with superstars? It is all about making the start. Trends like biopic are prevalent today because of a start. If someone succeeds to make a high grossing, good quality (unlike Flying Jatt) superhero movie, then movies of this genre would be produced more than the likes of romcoms.

There is a reason why Krrish became iconic and successful.. Its because there is a huge backstory behind Krrish's super powers and the creators took time to built the character.
No there's no backstory to krrish's powers, there's a story to his father but krish is just a byproduct so to speak. he's kinda a mutant who received his powers from his father who received them from an alien. But that alien also gave him a normal life. after Jadoo Rohit has improved eyesight, and a faster working brain, but there's no explanation as to why krrish received those powers in such an amputated manner, superspeed, ability to communicate to animals, strength, that gliding powers, they're much much more than those given by jadoo to krishna. he's definitely a mutant.
Shamim, I believe that Raj Comics has enormous potential to compete with DC and Marvel, it's being 35 years of Raj Comics in India. I am reading it since 1994, when I was just 4, my senior cousins introduced me to the Comics Universe. And I am still buying and reading Raj comics, Marvel and DC. Bas Sanjay Gupta maan jaye Raj comics movies ke liye. By the I am from Guwahati. We use to order online, since it's no longer available in North-East.

The end scene you narrated has been running in my mind since 2008 when Anurag Kashyap had announced a movie on DOGA. And the sad part is, I still don't see a way to witness it on a big screen at least in near future.

Everything you said is cent percent true my friend. Yes, there was a time of craze for Raj comics which was out of this world. The wait, The craze, The thoughts, The Sequels, The story etc. It is really sad to see the downfall of the comic books and even more haunting to know,"When will they ever make movies out of it?". The Raj comics does have The Potential (Talk about origin, story, creativity etc) to make movies out of it esp nowadays when CGI, VFX and technologies has been so advanced that can create the thoughts of a director in reality (TV).
In terms of creating iconic superheroes per se I must say, the movies that Rajamouli sir makes, are quite commendable. The legacy he created after Bahubali, everyone knows about it.

Like in recent few days, I've been more than excited to see almost all south ventures in theaters, they're coming with such great efforts put in movie. But sadly, wasn't excited or felt like I'm even watching something new with any of the new Hindi trailers. It all felt like aaahh end the trailer soon.

With each movie, he learns something from it. But it should be noted that he successfully opened the south industry, the characters which he created became a pop culture. Today anyone acts strong he's called Bahubali. And that's a big feat. Even he has his limitations. But in terms of visual spectacle or grandness, he does it well. His shots do look grand.
Bahubali is not a Superhero. It's a Fantasy film. Just like Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter, Eragon. A superhero doesn't just fights against one villain, he constantly has to keep fighting against evil.
Hi Shammim, I recently stumbled upon your Channel from Jammy's reference and I must say you are doing some awesome job bro. I remember reading Raj Comics as a kid, especially Doga, Super Commando Dhruva and Nagraj. Infact I still remember a story called 'Nocturno' where these three characters fought together against a common enemy. And having read Doga's origin story with all his Spice Uncles, I think it is criminal that we don't have a Doga movie on screen yet. The ending that you described with the voiceover and Background sounds gave me goosebumps. I was immediately transported to that scene. Keep up the good job!! Mojjaa

Shaktiman worked because the origin lore was given much importance in the first episodes and shaktiman's abilities were slowly established in these first episodes as well. But krish and other movies didn't do it well so they feel like they were trying to make a character just for the sake of making a superhero movie. Just like in hollywood movies, the shaktiman character was well established and therefore believable.

I got to see your video today accidentally and I'm soo moved on that there are guys out there who think like me. Basically, I'm a "Motion Graphics Designer" and a big comic and Anime lover (Hope you are into Anime) and I totally agree with your point. I'm writing a script for 6-7 years now (A supernatural and superhero genre) already in a phrase talking to some directors (Newcomers mostly) and a few friends who are into direction and scriptwriting. Maybe in coming years can see this story in "Live Action" and I'm sure the Indian audience will see something they always wanted to. Your video really helped me not to follow mistakes that have plagued our industry. Hope things will get right and we all can see something new and different soon. Cheers 😄

i've questioned the same question to myself, so that's why i'm preparing stories for superhero comics. having a lots of ideas and numerous unique characters. once the script is ready, i'll start working on cartoonizing them.
Nagraj is Superman of India. He alone can carry indian superhero industry. However it needs heavy VFX and lots of money n dedication that we currently lack. The best way is making cartoon of it make it a legend in animation so next process can be done. I hope I see nagraj movie before I die.
If we want our superhero movies, then we have to build the character first, just like Tony Stark we didn't even know in 2008. For excellent story telling, we have to use the authentic things from Indian culture and History. Mythology can play a significant role but some people might get offended. People now are used to that there is going to be good vs evil in the movie. So most of them predict the story themselves.

I really wanted to write this from a long time.....but for some reason was not able to....so here's my opinion if i had to write storyline of Krrish4: 1)The best thing in my mind is that i would connect krrish and Jaado back...like jaado needs help at his place and so he goes to earth and req krrish to help him. 2)Secondly i would have used that flair pen mechanism.....like a side-villian broke into rohit's lab or his personal space and found out that mechanism and used in a suit or something...*yeah something like iron man does lol* or maybe a scientist jealous of rohit there may have done this to ruin his invention or maybe anything else like that. 3)I would have skipped some years ahead(right at the beginning of the movie)so that krrish's kid may discover his/her powers 4) The main villian in this movie may try to stop the energy source to jaado's planet(sun or like that) and thats the threat basically that needs krish's help 5)why aliens need krrish's help....so i think maybe jaado was like kinda prince of that planet who possess the power to stop that villian(like their was a prediction like Ragnarok there that this is gonna happen and only jaado is the solution).....but jaado shared his powers with rohit and rohit did same with krrish.....so yah maybe that might be the thought process. I am not any professional....just a curious person to share his thought on future of Krrish sequel.....!! hope you like it.......please do share what u guyz think about this or any addition to this
This biggest problem in Indian superhero movies is tha they are not focused on the story or character but the actor who plays it. The protagonist of Krrish is not Krrish but Hrithik Roshan, who is also a brilliant dancer so the character must have a dance number in the film. The USP of the movie Ra.One is not the main character G.One, but its actor SRK and the fact that Akon has sung 2 songs in it. Likewise, Robo is more about Rajnikanth than it is about Chitti. This is where the problem lies.

The only Indian movie that came closer to an Indian superhero movie for me, is *Aparichit* I loved that movie and it's storyline fits really well with the Indian culture. Story also seems inspired by a character from marvel comics known as *the moonknight*

It’s very interesting with the entire superhero genre exploding in these few years. I heard this on another TH-cam video where a group of Marvel and DC fans were talking to each other regarding their fandoms and one of them said that other countries and regions have their own mythology tied up to them whereas America never really had REAL mythology. Comic books are like old manuscripts to them I know it might sound hella stupid at first but it makes sense. I think India has one of the strongest and most interesting mythologies(if delved into deeply) and hence big directors never really felt the need to do superhero films. Again it’s just my take on it
Very well said and I totally agree. We have all the resources to make a superhero movie. From story, to concept to characters to the universe needed. I don't know why do we keep creating new superheroes. Raj comics has a whole universe which can give head to head with marvel and dc. We have a legacy and if a movie comes out we would already have a fan following, we just need to make sure the story and concept is portrayed correctly. There is Concept trailer of Nagraj on TH-cam itself. That's so amazing that it manifests we can do it. Our editors should stop being happy by seeing their name in marvel dc movie credits.

I think best option would be to start with Shaktiman. He wasn't an alien but was given power to command over elements of life as a remedy to right the wrongs of society. It also has a very strong origin story and the rest movies will surely follow, (Dhruv. Doga, nagraj etc. And common enemies at climax would be the asuras (reference : puranas) who unlike western culture were not aliens but concealed or disguised as humans and committing and encouraging the rule of darkness.

It is all about making the start. Trends like biopic are prevalent today because of a start. If someone succeeds to make a high grossing, good quality (unlike Flying Jatt) superhero movie, then movies of this genre would be produced more than the likes of romcoms.

There is a reason why Krrish became iconic and successful.. Its because there is a huge backstory behind Krrish's super powers and the creators took time to built the character.

No there's no backstory to krrish's powers, there's a story to his father but krish is just a byproduct so to speak. he's kinda a mutant who received his powers from his father who received them from an alien. But that alien also gave him a normal life. after Jadoo Rohit has improved eyesight, and a faster working brain, but there's no explanation as to why krrish received those powers in such an amputated manner, superspeed, ability to communicate to animals, strength, that gliding powers, they're much much more than those given by jadoo to krishna. he's definitely a mutant.
Shamim, I believe that Raj Comics has enormous potential to compete with DC and Marvel, it's being 35 years of Raj Comics in India. I am reading it since 1994, when I was just 4, my senior cousins introduced me to the Comics Universe. And I am still buying and reading Raj comics, Marvel and DC. Bas Sanjay Gupta maan jaye Raj comics movies ke liye. By the I am from Guwahati. We use to order online, since it's no longer available in North-East.

The wait, The craze, The thoughts, The Sequels, The story etc. It is really sad to see the downfall of the comic books and even more haunting to know,"When will they ever make movies out of it?". The Raj comics does have The Potential (Talk about origin, story, creativity etc) to make movies out of it esp nowadays when CGI, VFX and technologies has been so advanced that can create the thoughts of a director in reality (TV).

In terms of creating iconic superheroes per se I must say, the movies that Rajamouli sir makes, are quite commendable. The legacy he created after Bahubali, everyone knows about it.

Like in recent few days, I've been more than excited to see almost all south ventures in theaters, they're coming with such great efforts put in movie. But sadly, wasn't excited or felt like I'm even watching something new with any of the new Hindi trailers. It all felt like aaahh end the trailer soon.

With each movie, he learns something from it. But it should be noted that he successfully opened the south industry, the characters which he created became a pop culture. Today anyone acts strong he's called Bahubali. And that's a big feat. Even he has his limitations. But in terms of visual spectacle or grandness, he does it well. His shots do look grand.
Bahubali is not a Superhero. It's a Fantasy film. Just like Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter, Eragon. A superhero doesn't just fights against one villain, he constantly has to keep fighting against evil.
Hi Shammim, I recently stumbled upon your Channel from Jammy's reference and I must say you are doing some awesome job bro. I remember reading Raj Comics as a kid, especially Doga, Super Commando Dhruva and Nagraj. Infact I still remember a story called 'Nocturno' where these three characters fought together against a common enemy. And having read Doga's origin story with all his Spice Uncles, I think it is criminal that we don't have a Doga movie on screen yet.

Shaktiman worked because the origin lore was given much importance in the first episodes and shaktiman's abilities were slowly established in these first episodes as well. But krish and other movies didn't do it well so they feel like they were trying to make a character just for the sake of making a superhero movie. Just like in hollywood movies, the shaktiman character was well established and therefore believable.

I got to see your video today accidentally and I'm soo moved on that there are guys out there who think like me. Basically, I'm a "Motion Graphics Designer" and a big comic and Anime lover (Hope you are into Anime) and I totally agree with your point. I'm writing a script for 6-7 years now (A supernatural and superhero genre) already in a phrase talking to some directors (Newcomers mostly) and a few friends who are into direction and scriptwriting. Maybe in coming years can see this story in "Live Action" and I'm sure the Indian audience will see something they always wanted to. Your video really helped me not to follow mistakes that have plagued our industry. Hope things will get right and we all can see something new and different soon. Cheers 😄

i've questioned the same question to myself, so that's why i'm preparing stories for superhero comics. having a lots of ideas and numerous unique characters. once the script is ready, i'll start working on cartoonizing them.
Lets hope John Abraham's RAKSHAK adapted from 'Yali dream creations' would be supported by the audience.

If we want our superhero movies, then we have to build the character first, just like Tony Stark we didn't even know in 2008. For excellent story telling, we have to use the authentic things from Indian culture and History. Mythology can play a significant role but some people might get offended. People now are used to that there is going to be good vs evil in the movie. So most of them predict the story themselves.
Characters like Doga and Dhruva would be more believable. I would love to see joint action between them in comics like sarvanash.

I really wanted to write this from a long time.....but for some reason was not able to....so here's my opinion if i had to write storyline of Krrish4:
1)The best thing in my mind is that i would connect krrish and Jaado back...like jaado needs help at his place and so he goes to earth and req krrish to help him.
2)Secondly i would have used that flair pen mechanism.....like a side-villian broke into rohit's lab or his personal space and found out that mechanism and used in a suit or something...*yeah something like iron man does lol* or maybe a scientist jealous of rohit there may have done this to ruin his invention or maybe anything else like that.
3)I would have skipped some years ahead(right at the beginning of the movie)so that krrish's kid may discover his/her powers
4) The main villian in this movie may try to stop the energy source to jaado's planet(sun or like that) and thats the threat basically that needs krish's help
5)why aliens need krrish's help....so i think maybe jaado was like kinda prince of that planet who possess the power to stop that villian(like their was a prediction like Ragnarok there that this is gonna happen and only jaado is the solution).....but jaado shared his powers with rohit and rohit did same with krrish.....so yah maybe that might be the thought process.

This biggest problem in Indian superhero movies is tha they are not focused on the story or character but the actor who plays it. The protagonist of Krrish is not Krrish but Hrithik Roshan, who is also a brilliant dancer so the character must have a dance number in the film. The USP of the movie Ra.One is not the main character G.One, but its actor SRK and the fact that Akon has sung 2 songs in it. Likewise, Robo is more about Rajnikanth than it is about Chitti.
This is where the problem lies.

The only Indian movie that came closer to an Indian superhero movie for me, is *Aparichit* I loved that movie and it's storyline fits really well with the Indian culture. Story also seems inspired by a character from marvel comics known as *the moonknight*

This episode is unique and very informative.
It’s very interesting with the entire superhero genre exploding in these few years. I heard this on another TH-cam video where a group of Marvel and DC fans were talking to each other regarding their fandoms and one of them said that other countries and regions have their own mythology tied up to them whereas America never really had REAL mythology. Comic books are like old manuscripts to them I know it might sound hella stupid at first but it makes sense. I think India has one of the strongest and most interesting mythologies(if delved into deeply) and hence big directors never really felt the need to do superhero films. Again it’s just my take on it

We have all the resources to make a superhero movie. From story, to concept to characters to the universe needed. I don't know why do we keep creating new superheroes. Raj comics has a whole universe which can give head to head with marvel and dc. We have a legacy and if a movie comes out we would already have a fan following, we just need to make sure the story and concept is portrayed correctly. There is Concept trailer of Nagraj on TH-cam itself. That's so amazing that it manifests we can do it. Our editors should stop being happy by seeing their name in marvel dc movie credits.

I think best option would be to start with Shaktiman. He wasn't an alien but was given power to command over elements of life as a remedy to right the wrongs of society. It also has a very strong origin story and the rest movies will surely follow, (Dhruv. Doga, nagraj etc. And common enemies at climax would be the asuras (reference : puranas) who unlike western culture were not aliens but concealed or disguised as humans and committing and encouraging the rule of darkness.
