Another excellent video! I miss the range at RAF Wainfleet just near Skegness, used to go with my dad and watch Tornados, Jaguars, Harriers and my favourite A10 Warthogs. I think they flew from RAF Bentwaters.
I think the control tower at Wainfleet is now a hotel. I remember it going up for sale and even expressing a brief interest in buying it myself. Settled for a more conventional (boring) house in Spilsby instead.

Exceptional video Nikos and Ted. Your streams, to me at least, seem to coming on in leaps and bounds. Much more post production and editing going on here. A fantastic result. Keep up the great work you guys.
That poor old ship after all this time still being hammered, Superb shots you could try for months and not get shots like that, gives you an idea of the huge power these things have
Of course, as this is a Special Ops aircraft, which can been deployed to hostile and undesirable locations, will need a little bit protection to neutralise its opponent if it comes under threat.
Amazing machines. Can't help thinking they're over engineered though, as they can fly like conventional helicopters with the rotors up? I wonder if anyone considered making a smaller "chinook" style machine with a similar jet propulsion?
The Osprey was another of those over-complex and expensive solutions to a problem that didn't exist. I'll be castigated for saying so because it sounds like I'm having a dig at the Merkinese Military Machine - and nobody cares what weird contraptions that comes up with as long as the dirty Commies ain't got 'em, right? The new v280 is a smaller Blackhawk sized aircraft with a much simplified tiltrotor arrangement. My understanding is that jet engines would be incredibly inefficient for vtol aircraft. They would need to burn so much fuel on takeoff and landing it would negate much of the range advantage these have over conventional helicopters.

Well it is .50 cal but I am not sure about the actual gun itself as some have been replaced and some haven’t.

In the US they are practicing landing f35’s on shut down roads. Guess there’s no runways where we are heading.

The Osprey is slightly louder than a Chinook when it’s hovering and in helicopter mode. In airplane mode, it’s significantly quieter.
