Elvis played piano and guitar, organ and some bass fiddle. In fact his friend Johnny Cash sad Elvis was a hell of a rhythm ythm guitar player. When he entertained the Beetles at Graceland he and Paul played bass guitar together. He played piano in his last performance of "Unchained Melody. He could sing beautiful gospel and has sold more gospel than any solo artist in the world.

It was written especially for Elvis by Leiber and Stoller.
He sang it first in his movie "King Creole" 1958, and in the opening scene from his '68 Comeback Special.
The second sequence ( Guitar Man) was written by Jerry Reed who was also an amazing guitar player!

Hey maan, Elvis was a famous multi talented artist of his time (1953 to 1977) I knew him only through his music played through Records, cassettes and CDs. We need to thank the digital media like U tube for portraying this legends achievements to this generation. The song uses the same "stop-time" riff as Muddy Waters' 1954 song "Hoochie Coochie Man" written by Willie Dixon. This particular riff is one of the most recognizable lick in blues, and is also heard in Bo Diddley's "I'm A Man" (1955) and Muddy Waters' "Mannish Boy" (1955).
The song was written by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller!

Elvis WAS A MULTI-INSTRUMENTALIST. Acoustic and electric guitars for both rhythm and lead sections. Stage ready and an incredible rhythm guitarist, top tier. Elvis also played the piano, and could sing AND PLAY at the same time. Elvis was ALSO AN ARRANGER AND PRODUCER. He did everything but write songs. On that end, Elvis was the first big name white musician that paid for song rights ALL those songwriters and song owners and paid them royalties to based on his sales. This is how he opened the music business up to all people of color who were getting robbed by white and black owned label execs. It all changed with Elvis. He changed the world.

The more you read this ..... The more you'll know ..... About seeing Elvis live ..... Seeing Elvis live was to say the least "ELECTRIFYING" ..... AND SO THERE I WAS ..... AT SEVERAL ELVIS CONCERTS ..... THE STADIUM WAS AS LOUD AS COULD BE ..... PEOPLE EVERY-WERE ..... THE ELECTRICITY JUMPED FROM ONE PERSON TO ANOTHER ALL THROUGH THE PLACE ..... FULL OF THE STATIC ELECTRICITY ..... ONE PERSON TO ANOTHER ...... THESE CHARGES BUILT UP ON EVERYONE OF US ..... MAKING OUR HAIR STAND ON END AND MAKING ALL OF US CRAZY TILL YOU JUST HAD TO FIND A WAY TO RELEASE OR DISCHARGE IT..... SCREAMING SEEMS LIKE THE WAY MOST GOT RID OF IT ..... " I KNOW THAT FOR SURE" ..... AS MY AUNT ..... MY SISTER ..... AND MY DATE MADE ME INCOHERENT FOR AT LEAST THE NEXT WEEK OR SO ..... AND THIS WAS JUST WAITING FOR THE SHOW TO START ..... THEN THE FRONT PART WITH THE BAND AND COMEDIAN CAME OUT AND SOME ENERGY WAS RELEASED FOR THE MOMENT ..... BUT THEN CHARGED RIGHT BACK UP AGAIN AS THE BAND STARTED AND THE COMEDIAN CAME AND WENT ..... IT SEEMED LIKE IT WOULD NEVER GET TO ELVIS COMING OUT AS THAT IS EXACTLY WHY WE ALL WERE THERE ..... THAT'S RIGHT ..... WE ALL WERE WAITING FOR ..... ELVIS TIME ..... THEN ..... SPACE ODYSSEY 2001 STARTED TO PLAY ..... MAN ..... WOMEN AND CHILD ..... WE ALL KNEW ..... ELVIS WAS NEXT ..... IT WAS DEAFENING ..... THEN SPACE ODYSSEY STARTED PLAYING ..... THE CHARGE WAS ELECTRIFYING .....THE CROWD WAS SO LOUD YOU COULD NOT HEAR YOURSELF SAY ..... THINK OR HELL ..... EVEN SCREAM ..... " YOUR BREAKING MY EAR DRUMS PEOPLE " ..... EVERYONE WAS COVERING THEIR OWN EARS JUST TO SAVE THEMSELF FOR GOING DEAF ..... IT WAS ALL-READY TO LATE FOR ME ..... AS I COULD NOT EVEN SAY HIS NAME WITHOUT MY AUNT ..... SISTER ..... OR ..... DATE THERE WITH ME WOULD LOOK AT ME THEN START SCREAMING ..... EEELLLVVVVIIISSS ..... EEELLLVVVVIIISSS ..... EEELLLVVVVIIISSS ..... BUT THEN JUST BEFORE THE BLINDING LIGHTS OF THE CAMERA'S STARTED ..... THANK GOD ..... IT HAPPENED ..... THE KING HIMSELF CLIMBED UP THOSE STAIRS AND AT THAT MOMENT ..... I REALIZED THAT THE CROWD ..... AUNT ..... SISTER ..... AND ..... DATE ..... COULD SCREAM A WHOLE LOT LOUDER THEN THEY DID JUST MINUTES BEFORE ..... EEELLLVVVVIIISSS ..... EEELLLVVVVIIISSS ..... EEELLLVVVVIIISSS .....WAY LOUDER ..... THEN ..... THANK GOD ..... ELVIS WALKED UP TO THE MIC ..... And the screaming that was ear piercing and probably making my ears bleed already to say the least stop on a dime ..... It was Quiet as hell now with the crowd ..... And with my Aunt ..... Sister ..... And yes ..... My Date..... As Elvis was just about to sing ..... Throughout the concert anytime Elvis was to say anything or sing..... Or ..... Hell ..... Just moved around ..... No-one moved or made a sound ..... WHY ..... We were Mesmerized .....We wanted to hear everything and see everything he did ..... This Is the true Impact that Elvis Aron Presley had here on Planet Earth ..... You can ..... Fight it ..... Argue it ..... Cuss at it ..... Disagree with it ..... Be Jealous of it ..... You can even claim others his equal or his better if you want ..... But every time the dust settles ..... Elvis is still king ..... God said ..... That ..... That son ..... That there is something you just cannot change ..... Can't and won't be done ..... Elvis won the world over with his abilities ..... Far above mortal man ..... Able to leap high notes in a single breath ..... Or blow the roof off with some low tone tornadic whirlwind of a grinding persuasion flowing out of him with the greatest of ease .....To start a song off as if it would be soft and sweet .... Only to have it take you up to high heaven and beyond ..... Making you think ..... What the hell just happened ..... Was that earthbound what you just heard and saw ..... Or direct from up above that ..... God sent just for you ..... Yes sir ..... Whatever happens ..... YOU CANNOT OUTRUN THE POWERFUL .....SOUNDS COMING OUT OF HIM ..... NO SIR .....It's those powerful sounds coming out of him ..... That His tornadic voice creates .....Winds that can blow you into others around you ..... Into laps of perfect strangers ..... Causing turned over popcorn ..... Spilled drinks ..... Stepped on candy bars ..... Hell ..... Even screaming in your ears ..... I KNOW .... Both of them ..... All at once ..... Coming from both sides ..... Even from the front and back of you ..... Doesn't matter if it is your Aunt ..... Sister..... Or Date ..... And thousands of Pictures being taken ..... Even at hundreds of feet away ..... Maybe even thousands ..... All from the lights of the cameras that just keep on flashing ..... Thousands at a time ..... Practically Blinding you the whole time ..... But man ..... look-Out ..... As he can change direction quickly Vocally ..... And send you to La-La land in an instant ..... Hell ..... He's been known to lift up people in cars and trucks ..... Even houses and toss them into happiness ..... WITHIN ONE NOTE ..... So hold on man ..... Elvis is king ..... Borrowed talent from God himself as history has proven it 73 YEARS AND COUNTING ..... Once in a while God sends a mes-sager to his people ..... Elvis was one such mes-sager ..... Mankind can try to change it and proclaim some-one his equal or better if they want ..... BUT God already said ..... That is something that will never change ..... The man had everyone {Including Me} ..... looking up on the stage as we wanted to watch every move ..... And listen to every sound he made ..... Yes sir ..... I saw Elvis live ..... And I will tell you right now that hearing him on CD's or Records or seeing him on TV or here on you-tube ..... I can tell you right now ..... It is nothing like seeing him in person ..... Take it x1000 ..... to him In person ..... He was that Absolutely fantastic ..... A wound up tesla coil ..... With bolts of lighting feeding the crowd ...... Simply ..... He was like the Suction of a f-5 tornado ..... Once in his grip ..... You are a fan ..... PERIOD ..... And so as you are determined ..... To jump into the whirlwinds created by the king himself ..... "REALIZE YOU ARE NOW BEING OFFICIALLY SUCKED INTO THE F-5 WHIRLWIND TORNADO " ..... WE BID YOU GOOD LUCK ON YOUR JOURNEY AND WELCOME ABOARD .....PLEASE ABOVE ALL .....Keep your hands ..... Arms ..... And legs inside your seat at all times ..... To avoid hitting nearby ..... Supporters ..... People ..... And other objects ..... Try to Sit properly in your seat without twisting around ..... kneeling ..... Or otherwise rearranging your body in a way that may compromise the effectiveness of the safety restraints built -in ..... Which are the arm rests ..... Seat belts ..... Or a handrail ..... Or any other form of safety device if so equipped ..... OR .....You may just end up holding on to any other life forms in your area ..... After all they too are being sucked in ..... Or hell ..... You may have to just hang on for dear life on your own ..... Above all ..... Enjoy the ride ..... As he left all his recordings just for us .....And so here is another gift from the king ..... Elvis Presley - " Life " ..... th-cam.com/video/T4cWkMXrGjo/w-d-xo.html ....{{ Elvis recorded EXACTLY 769 songs ..... Did 31 Movies ..... Did 2 Documentaries ..... Did over 1100 Concerts in the Seventies alone ..... Who knows how many in the 50's and 60's }} ..... PLUS .... On August 31, 1957, Elvis, Scotty Moore, Bill Black, D.J. Fontana and the Jordanaires went to Vancouver by train to perform at Empire Stadium. It was the second stop of a tour of the Northwest that had started the day before in Spokane

    Loved your reaction 💥💥
Thank you so much for this one!
Okay, so: The first song track/ recording that the stop- time riff was used was on Scott Joplin's "Stoptime Rag"- 1910, when Ragtime was a very popular genre of music.
"Hoochie Coochie Man" was written by Willie Dixon and recorded by Muddy Waters in 1954- the song track you were referring to/ thinking of. Yes, it used the stop- time riff that is nowadays most associated with the Blues.
But it was used throughout many other genres of music- from tapdancing to Ragtime to jazz. After the Blues popularized the stop- time riff, it would be used in other later genres such as early Rock 'n' Roll, R&B, and Soul.
The whole 1968 Comeback Special is 🔥🔥
Once again, thank you so much 🌹& peace & blessings to you & yours💕

yes, he didn't only play the guitar, he played the piano too (for example in one of his last performances "unchained melody"). He also played the bass, but I think he did it only private (at least i don't know a video or recording where he played the bass, but there also may exist one.) In view of the fact, that Elvis recorded over 700 songs, it's a little bit difficult, to keep the overview... 😉

You should react to the original version from the movie scene when he was younger. Both versions are excellent but if I had to choose, I'd go with the original. While you're at it, that movie, King Creole, has several other really good songs in it. The opening song, Crawfish (the long version) and the title song, King Creole, come to mind.

Elvis DROPPED BARS on a level Eminem could only dream of. And Elvis was first. So I think Elvis and Eminim were very similar from these different eras. They both opened up the business and got money to really flow in for everyone... love em or hate em. I dont think anyone could argue that. Its just that Elvis CREATED, along with his contemporaries Little Richard, BB King, Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, Mahelia Jackson, Fats Domino, Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, Carl Perkins, Otis Blackwell. Whereas hip hop was already established before Eminem took it to the next level. Elvis was even bigger than Em or Michael Jackson. He outsold them all for a reason. Musical and cultural and societal changes were made due to Elvis Presley's work. Could you IMAGINE a EMINEM AND ELVIS collabing FOR REAL in a studio or on a stage. I could SEE IT right in front of my eyes.
