I just wish they wrote more of their stuff and arranged more of their stuff. I really enjoyed tally, but I found it wasn’t written by them or arranged/composed.. I had that hunch.. so I looked it up. so I don’t feel like I’m listening to them with those songs now.. even though they’re performing it. It’s kind of a letdown to me because I like the group.. but if I’m not actually listening to their heart and soul coming from them, then what’s the point. I’m just listening to somebody else expressing themselves through them. that’s my only critique on this album.
@@Cyborous You are not wrong here but I think YG is more to be blamed here. If u see Rosé and Jisso are there as writers for yeah yeah yeah and in the past they also had their participation in writing their solo stuff like Rosé had her name as one of the writers and composers for Gone and On the ground.
Also Jisoo participated as a lyricist for Lovesick Girls,she also wrote Korean lyrics for her covers of song Clarity and Habits in 2018 and 2021 respectively. It’s not like they can’t write or compose its just that YG have always given that role to Teddy and team. Given the chance they can write and compose their own songs and I think more chances should be given to the girls for composing and writing their own songs….
@@Cyborous That point of view seems so illogical to me. Performing is itself a category of art. There are a lot of gifted songwriters who simply are not charismatic or gifted performers, so they need and want gifted performers to make their songs come to life. If you apply your logic to movies, nobody should ever want to watch any movies because the actors (i.e. the performers) are not the people who wrote the screenplay. Therefore, according to your logic, you shouldn't be able to enjoy watching actors perform their parts because the lines they perform are not "their heart and soul coming from them". According to your logic, nobody should enjoy listening to any of Whitney Houston's greatest hits...because she didn't write any of them. According to your logic, operatic singers (e.g. Pavarotti, Domingo, Bartoli, etc.) are not worth listening to because they didn't write their own operas.

Jisoo really showcased her wide vocal range in this album. I can’t get enough of her voice. I really need to hear more. Her solo is very much anticipated😫💕
