Thank you very kind of you to say. Unfortunately for us being over 3.5t we need to get a toll box for all the countries surrounding us including Austria. You usually pay a deposit for the use of the box (gobox in Austria) and add some money into an account to cover any travel. If you google go box points (petrol stations, border point etc) it will list places you can get them. You need your vehicle documents as proof of weight etc. The Austrian tolls are by far the most expensive but you can avoid a lot of them if you set your sat nav to avoid tolls. If you’re under 3.5t you can buy a vignette sticker for different lengths of visit, also at borders and fuel stations. Hope that helps?

There were both beautiful. I’m not sure about the fishing. Although there seemed to be activities available in both locations once the weather warmed a little.
Hi Sue, Doug and woof to Bella - what stunning scenery and what a clean and tidy country, why is it the UK does its utmost to destroy our countryside with building developments, litter and unkept waterways? I take it that Doug's other talents include playing guitar and piano, and I also noticed the lack of drone shots of the scenery.

Austria is beautiful. Im afraid we live in Slovakia. You dont say where youre based. The garage we bought ours from hires vans out. Its called Karavan.sk in Tranava but it all depends where youre starting out from. Lots of places do hire various types of vehicles. Maybe try an internet search for hymer motorhome hire near you. One thing to consider is do you have a C1 category on your driving license? You will need it to drive anything over 3500kg plus youll need a gobox to pay tolls in austria which you can get at service stations displaying the symbol.
