Fear Factory is credited as being the first band to mix harsh and clean vocals. They're like the Kraftwerk of Metal. Laid the foundation for everything to come, but gets none of the respect they deserve from modern fan bases. Most people probably think Slipknot started the clean/harsh trend.
This band here deserves their respect and spot in metal, I believe this came out in 92 ,Fear Factory was the first band to do clean Vocals and harsh Vocals that I ever heard and inspired all new current copy cats
That intro and main riff influenced something, a couple of years later... that we all know: "Are you readddyyyy?" 😁 I'm not bashing, just saying... Korn is my favorite band.
Its a quality song for its time. A bit dated now for sure ... but one of their best earlier songs. 🤘 Also sound is probably more a technology/equipment/production issue more than anything as to why they sound the way they do. There is a big jump to Demanufacture (the following album).
I'm really hoping Dino is re recording this album to give it a more modern production (Kinda like what the Cavaleras are doing with the early sepultura albums). They already re recorded versions of Martyr and Crash Test are fantastic.

I've been patiently waiting for some old school fear factory
This song was Jerry Lynn's entrance music back in either WCW or ECW. A little fun factoid for you.
that's awesome! did some digging it was probably his 2nd ECW entrance music
This is from their debut album that came out in 1992
Kind of. It was the first released. Concrete was first but the label didn't want it haha Concrete is super good too but mostly just death metal
Please do Zero Signal next!
