Actually ido013 the Xenosaga series is supposed to be the "beggining" of the series. Xenosaga originaly was meant to be a 6 episode game series. Xenosaga was the fifth in the series and was also meant to recieve a remake of a sort. Xenosaga does has a lot of common things with Xenosaga and even a story arc that is before Xenogears. Abel is Fei from Xenogears, his Weltal - Id mech exists within the game as do numerous things that exist later in Xenogears (story wise).
I know this is completely random, but Palkia's wings alwasy reminded me of Omega... As for the fight itself, piece of cake. Metempsychosis almost didn't even deserve to be a major boss.
And now we know the secret origin of Deus. I hear this was originally intended to be the final boss of Episode II, but they didn't get to finish it up to that point. It's still a final boss in its own right.
i remeber when i was a wee young lad in an eb games i remeber where the game was located it was 11 bucks i remeber when i got home i played it i remeber the tears of joy when my brian melted i remeber my brain melted from the awesomeness i remeber misspelling remember 6 times
@UrielTheJudge Not exactly but theoretically yes. Abel is the first existence before Fei (then Kim, Lacan). Then again, this series is very different from Xenogears so they're not really the same lol.
The first battle with Yuriev was difficult, so I thought that the E.S. battle would be impossible. I almost pissed my pants of how hard it'd be. The battle took 3 minutes tops.
Ex Natio should have been a non-survivable attack, the idea being "you didn't save up your specials, now little Fei and Elly's gears wipe the floor with your ass"
Ah, the best boss battle in the whole game along with the fight with E.S. Levi in the last part. Try taking a Prodigium and an Ex Natio one after another, normally the whole team will be obliterated if there isn't any protection against Beam attacks.
Why not lots of boss battles in a row? It can become a real challenge, and it worked for a movie: Star Wars Episode III. That film was like boss fight after boss fight after boss fight--and it paid off very well. Yep, this game is "almost finished" in my view. Almost. Too bad Namco didn't see just how good this series is to support it further.
True, sorry about that. And yes, I've often wondered why it does use Anima Awakening aswell. And perhaps they didn't let you fight those ES's before Zarathustra because they were either too lazy to put in those fights, or they thought it would be stupid to put so many boss battles together in a row.
My fight was short with Metempsychos when I made my E.S. stong. I had Jin, Jr. and Kos-Mos E.S. in formation. I attacked first and used my Anima to stop his special attack. My fight time was 02:57.
It would have been nice, but I must wonder why you didn't get to fight ES Judah, Simeon, or Wilhelm's mech Joshua in Xenosaga III. They found time to put in Omega ID and Erde Kaiser Sigma, why not the final 3 Xenosaga mechs?
I wouldn't mind fighting lots of bosses. But others I think would get frustrated by it. I think (from what I've heard) Namco stopped making Xenosaga because after the first game some people stopped working on it, and after the second even more stopped working on it. Those that left probably did because they thought 6 games with one story would be too hard to accomplish.
And there you are wrong Xenosaga and Xenogears by admission since it was made by the same development team. The author of the story clearly stated that in his six part novel xenogears would be the 5th part of the novel.
IMO, this should have been the final ES battle of the game - not Margulis. I just find it kinda funny that Yuriev had the power of "God", while Margulis had twice as much HP and was more of a challenge (at least I found Margulis a bit more difficult than Omega). Plus, Godsibb is so damn epic it would've been PERFECT for the final ES battle (although I still like Fatal Fight that plays when you fight Margulis).
I knew it wasn't. That's why I called it "Wilhelm's mech." And in my view, Zarathustra and Joshua are very separate entities. Why couldn't you fight Joshua, Judah, and Simeon just before Zarathustra's chamber? It might be Kevin's last attempt to stop the party from interfering with Wilhelm's plans. On an odd note, Omega Metempsychosis isn't an ES, but it uses Anima Awakening--shouldn't it have been Zohar Awakening?
yeah this guy i think was supposed to be the final boss of this game. then if they made 4 um the final boss of this game, then xenogears and after that not sure.
You can always hope the creators keep their word. They said they were possibly going to continue the xeno series in some form on the ps3 but we shall see if they do or not. I think xenosaga didn't do that well because of lack of knowledge it really just wasn't well known enough I guess because this game was great I didn't like ep.2 that much because of the battle system but ep.1+3 were great
I love how the designs of mini Weltall and Vierge to this guy's sides are practically ripped out of Xenogears. Good game, but a little too much fanservice.
I was actually disappointed with the Dmitri battle. He was really easy. Took me 10 minutes tops, and that super good Omega attack didn't even halve my character's HP. Omega took me even less time. It was a cinch too.
This is quite easily the coolest boss battle in Xenosaga III. It kinda made the rest of the boss battles a little weaker by comparison, although the game was still spectacular as a whole. But, why the Japanese voices? Yuriev sounds so much more threatening and evil in English, methinks, but thats just my opinion.
Sure, you may have been fast, but Ex Natio in my view is the godliest Anima Awakening in the game. If this was the boss of episode 2, like he should have been, maybe the game might not have sucked as badly.
It's too bad they made this game too easy in an attempt to sell more copies. If I'm fighting a god, I want to FEEL like I'm fighting a god! I still agree that it's one of the best boss fights in this game, though. Too bad we didn't get to fight Albedo, his E.S., or Kevin's E.S. either.
Go do some research before talking to me about this subject friend. I know what I am talking about. Xenogears and Xenosaga ARE the same story. Because two companies but the same development team worked on it. There is a small legal issue called COPYRIGHT INFRINGMENT. Chapters 4,5,6 are all included in the last game. Official story.
not this form! the previous form looked a little bit like gear-barah.....sorry about my refering to the original name of xenogear.....oh well...btw i think xenogears was a better game than this in most aspects other than graphics and....."crazy" crispin freeman voicing a crazy dude.
Damn the people who are putting off one of the greatest game series ever made...I have dreams of Xenosaga almost daily!
2:36 3:43 3:45 3:49 4:25 7:15

E.S. battle are the best and it can never satisfy you, you just keep on fighting and fighting.....
this music gives me goosebumps man.... i just finished playing the whole series episode 1 through 3 on my ps2 2 hours ago
@UrielTheJudge Not exactly but theoretically yes. Abel is the first existence before Fei (then Kim, Lacan). Then again, this series is very different from Xenogears so they're not really the same lol.
Very nice battle, I love this song and I have the music from the game.
The first battle with Yuriev was difficult, so I thought that the E.S. battle would be impossible. I almost pissed my pants of how hard it'd be. The battle took 3 minutes tops.
best boss battle ever.period.
ya the music MADE this fight
Ex Natio should have been a non-survivable attack, the idea being "you didn't save up your specials, now little Fei and Elly's gears wipe the floor with your ass"
Ah, the best boss battle in the whole game along with the fight with E.S. Levi in the last part. Try taking a Prodigium and an Ex Natio one after another, normally the whole team will be obliterated if there isn't any protection against Beam attacks.
There are times when I though I was going to fight all of the E.S. bosses but we all have to accept whats going in the story. Thats how they made it.
Why not lots of boss battles in a row? It can become a real challenge, and it worked for a movie: Star Wars Episode III. That film was like boss fight after boss fight after boss fight--and it paid off very well.

Thats how it is.
The theme is classic Yuki Kajiura work. I recognize the style from .hack!
Name's Godsibb, 9th song of the 2nd part of the game's Ost.
thats the point the creators made them like that for a reason
its true the little robots that help omega look like weltall and vierge :P
My fight was short with Metempsychos when I made my E.S. stong. I had Jin, Jr. and Kos-Mos E.S. in formation. I attacked first and used my Anima to stop his special attack. My fight time was 02:57.
Dare to compare Omega is Dues' final form in Xenogears. End of chapter 5 of six.
It would have been nice, but I must wonder why you didn't get to fight ES Judah, Simeon, or Wilhelm's mech Joshua in Xenosaga III. They found time to put in Omega ID and Erde Kaiser Sigma, why not the final 3 Xenosaga mechs?

0:14-0.16 Did I just saw Fei there?! O.O
@Yay248 *extent
what do you mean
This boss is like Deus off of Xenogears.
What is the music called?
I knew it wasn't. That's why I called it "Wilhelm's mech." And in my view, Zarathustra and Joshua are very separate entities. Why couldn't you fight Joshua, Judah, and Simeon just before Zarathustra's chamber? It might be Kevin's last attempt to stop the party from interfering with Wilhelm's plans.

there is no 4,5,6 they were cannceled xenosaga and xenogears only look the same just like dues looks like a form of omega i think it is post form
i rise the volume to the max when this song start to play really awesom battle to bad it was easy
wii rulz
now it looks like you are fighting Deus from Xenogears
and xenosaga and xenogaears are two different storys they are not ment to be together they are just like in many ways
the second Godsibb played I thought "this is going to be fucking EPIC!!!"
Metempsychosis is my username on a lot of sites now :)
yeah this guy i think was supposed to be the final boss of this game. then if they made 4 um the final boss of this game, then xenogears and after that not sure.
what makes you say that
@TheDillonater PS2. It is a great series. I recommend that you play them in order to understand the plot to its full extend, though.
You can always hope the creators keep their word. They said they were possibly going to continue the xeno series in some form on the ps3 but we shall see if they do or not. I think xenosaga didn't do that well because of lack of knowledge it really just wasn't well known enough I guess because this game was great I didn't like ep.2 that much because of the battle system but ep.1+3 were great
When I make games, I'll be sure not to disappoint in the boss department.
Too bad Square shorted us with the bosses in FF12.
I thought those were the omega universitas weapons... wow...
hmm now i understand why is fei inside xenosaga is abel
fei = abel = graf = lakan
If anything, it looks like Xenogears.
This is quite easily the coolest boss battle in Xenosaga III. It kinda made the rest of the boss battles a little weaker by comparison, although the game was still spectacular as a whole. But, why the Japanese voices? Yuriev sounds so much more threatening and evil in English, methinks, but thats just my opinion.
the story lines are weird and i am aware of that
Sure, you may have been fast, but Ex Natio in my view is the godliest Anima Awakening in the game.
If this was the boss of episode 2, like he should have been, maybe the game might not have sucked as badly.
if you've played xenogears then...does this guy remind you of yabeh? (deus in america?)
This music is WAAAY to soft, Godsibb is a masterpeice, it should be louder!
This is what I got when I looked up best boss fight ever. LOL
I think it would have been better if this was timed to be the last E.S. battle instead of Margulis and Levi.
sorry...forget what i just said. .....should have read the whole article...
oh yea, my favorite rpg ever.
xenosaga ep 3 is for WIN!!!!1!
Uh . . . is that the name of this boss in Greek letters?
And does it actually make sense in Greek?
Lol, sorry about that XD.
i remember killing this boss in like 3 turns...i felt really dissapionted cus i wanted it to last.
but ES levi and the end boss made up for it.
You DID fight Joshua. It just had extra parts added to it. Plus Joshua isn't an ES.
This fight was fun and really epic, but it was just way too easy. They really should have made him harder.
cultural, hell yeah!
non-technological? There's every bit of nanotechnology, UMN technology (fictional), and lots of other theories shown here.
@WoodenSwordL lol Deus was easy... after taking two of the spheres down lol
so i guess the eldridge never shows up? wish these games fit with xenogears. :( never se much of a comnnection!
whats this game for? it looks pretty cool
It's too bad they made this game too easy in an attempt to sell more copies. If I'm fighting a god, I want to FEEL like I'm fighting a god!
I still agree that it's one of the best boss fights in this game, though. Too bad we didn't get to fight Albedo, his E.S., or Kevin's E.S. either.
i wish i knew the song -_-"
Godsibb
this bad was bad it wasn't hard hit hit hit couple of specials then dead it was fun though I still love beating the crap out of it xD
i dont care and do you know chaos is yeshua which means jesus and that the 2abels are gods eyes
lol i know that already lol XD but thanx n_n
i think the other form of omega looked cooler
Go do some research before talking to me about this subject friend. I know what I am talking about. Xenogears and Xenosaga ARE the same story. Because two companies but the same development team worked on it. There is a small legal issue called COPYRIGHT INFRINGMENT. Chapters 4,5,6 are all included in the last game. Official story.
lol why are you sorry? lol anyways i should be sorry XD
non technological. wow you cant be serious
not this form! the previous form looked a little bit like gear-barah.....sorry about my refering to the original name of xenogear.....oh well...btw i think xenogears was a better game than this in most aspects other than graphics and....."crazy" crispin freeman voicing a crazy dude.
