I do like Fantasy Cars especially in the early and mid 2000s. The Road Bandit was a modified American Jeep and it was a popular casting in the Philippines.
People know that I like fantasy castings. While many may prefer real cars, there's nothing wrong with at least appreciating their artistic designs. It doesn't mean that you have to buy them.
Exactly. I know fantasy castings aren’t highly regarded in most collector circles, but the design and work that goes into them is definitely something to be appreciated. The Total Disposal from this year is one of my favorite 2020 new castings.
@@64Wheels On that note, Erikenstein might be my favorite of the 2020 fantasy New Models. I like Loco Motorin' too but you don't have that one for consideration (I understand why). It is coming in the 2021 cases as an X-Raycer without any licensed graphics.
@@racegrooves The Erikenstein is a fantastic casting! I really like that one as well - that's one of those castings that will probably cross-over into the non-fantasy collector's collection too. Definitely one I'd love to see rocking some Real Riders in a premium line. Funny that you mention the Loco Motorin' as I saw the non-Thomas front end version for 2021 and it needs a tampo on the front..or something. Especially with the previous version having a face there -- so now it's like a faceless ghost train lol. Not a bad casting at all though!
I think that fantasy castings are the soul of hot wheels, without them the brand would be pretty generic, with nothing really distinguishing it from Matchbox (which is also owned by Mattel) or Majorette. My favourite casting back in the day was the Rocket Box, such a nice little compact vehicle.
I usually prefer licensed but there are some really cool fantasy models. My favorites have moving/removable parts and glow in the dark colors. 2021 Cloak&dagger will be the perfect combination for me
So I did a whole deep dive on google about the road bandit (jeepney)... very interesting history! So, while we were in Target today I bought 2 different ones! Lol
I have a racetrack I have a two rainbow roads together and so I like my variety of Hot Wheels I have plenty of fantasy castings all kind of like started with the street beast I have a lot of the street beast I dig those motor rigger motor Street creeper those kind as well I have one fantasy casting right now I have no idea what it's called cuz it doesn't say it on the bottom I forget where I got it from
