Love all your videos! Planning a trip to Colorado in June and with so much to see is so hard to divide time between so many places! We only have 8 days. We are traveling with kids any recommendations for summer in Rocky Mountain National Park ? Would it be too crowded to enjoy? My idea was to maybe spend 2 days in this area.
I don’t make it to colorado very often and really wanna do either the chasm lake hike or sky pond. However, my partner and I are both VERY much beginners. Would these hikes be a bad idea?
Sky Pond and Chasm are gorgeous, but definitely not beginner hikes. I would recommend trying out a shorter hike to see how you adjust to the elevation, and then if it all goes well ... take on one of these hikes.
Kudos to you and the hubby for looking so healthy and chipper for having gotten up a 2:30 in the morning. I'm guessing it's due to the copious amounts of kale in your diet.
😅 yes, definitely all because of the kale! 😆🥬 🙌 No, actually we had to be in the Bear Lake Cooridor before 5am as we didn't have tickets. So it was an early morning!
Nice video! My wife and I plan to hike this trail in later September this year. Do you think we will be encountering snow on the trail? I know weather can be variable around that time of the year.
Thanks for watching! That's a really tough question for that time of year. As yes, the mountains are totally unpredictable during that time. I would assume if you did encounter snow, it wouldn't be much, HOWEVER, nothing would surprise me if the mountains got a nice snowstorm at that time either. 😅 But hoping the weather is in your favor and you can make it! Sky pond is gorgeous.
How’s your ankle now? I’ve sprained my ankle twice on hikes, and each time it took 4-6 months to fully heal 😨 Really hope your recovery has been faster.
It's doing alot better, but it's definitely not 100% yet. If I'm on it alot I can tell, and I still get some paid when I move it certain directions. It's been about 3 months now since I sprained it, it wouldn't surprise me if it took 6 months. I just hope it will heal back to 100% and there wasn't any permanent damage! 🙏
@@JeanieMarie Let’s hope not, but you’d be amazed at the body’s ability to recover! Get well soon-you guys need to show me more places to hike 😉 Hopefully it’s closer to 4 months than 6 🤞🏼
We are traveling from Texas, visiting Colorado in September! after watching your Aspen video we dedicated one day specifically for Aspen We plan on dedicating another day in Colorado Springs, doing the royal train & pikes mountain Other than that we have 2 free days the rest will be in Denver Colorado. Any recommendations you have, on top of your list you recommend surrounding Colorado. We are debating throwing in a national park 🤔 Appreciate it! Love the vids. 😁
Definitely, go to Rocky Mountain National Park. And since you are going to Aspen you could also check out Leadville or Glenwood Springs as those two areas are close. And Georgetown is super charming and close to Denver: - One Day in Leadville: th-cam.com/video/FqwyIBMNOtI/w-d-xo.html - Glenwood Springs (summer 2-day guide): th-cam.com/video/nXAw4Fd8L-c/w-d-xo.html - Glenwood Springs (winter 1 day guide - you can do all this in Sept too): th-cam.com/video/RvdQktTP3u0/w-d-xo.html - One Day in Georgetown: th-cam.com/video/qpKn9SBsr5Q/w-d-xo.html
so your cell phone service does not work during your hikes? How about your satellite communicator? does that work pretty well when you are deep in your hikes?
Correct, when you get deep in the mountains there's no service! Thankful we haven't had to use our satellite phone yet. Fingerscrossed we never have too.
Love your videos but may I suggest when vlogging that you look into the lens and not at yourself on the screen. It just doesn't work when you’re talking past the viewer.
Nice hike!😍 that’s what we gonna do this weekend!💃🙌 Hope not to fall though😬😩😅 And hope you feel great and back to hiking!💃🙌 Btw, I DMed you on IG, check it out when you have a chance😅
Neat person with mid-western values who is authentic in every way. Even when sick or injured on the trails her kindness shines through!
Awe! I appreciate that 🙏 thank you for the kind words.
