First of all, the destruction of Irene was one of the most horrific things I have ever seen, the sheer idea of a sweet old woman who in her final years loses all her friends at no fault of her own is disgusting. Also the representation of the car crash and falling asleep at the wheel is masterclass, that is exactly what it's like. You literally think everything is fine and then bang, if you're lucky to wake up, your feeling pain and possibly surrounded by noise and death. Chilling and brilliant episode.
I have been in the exact same situation before and that ending of the episode brought the horrible memories back again. I ran into a moving truck on a freeway at 140kmph and somehow survived it. I was the one driving the car and the truck was moving at around 90kmph. One moment I was okay and then the next I see is the broken windshield, my left part of car inside truck, glass all around, dashboard all gone, bonet cracked in half and what not. This episode actually was like a nightmare for me.

Tuco comes from a family that has the “family is everything” mentality, so of course he takes good care of his grandmother and other members of the Salamanca bloodline. Jimmy on the other hand grew up without strong emotional bonds with his relatives, perhaps with the exception of his mother. Family just means different things to both of those characters, it has nothing to do with being “evil”.

1. Irene wasn't Jimmy's grany.
2. Tuco wasn't nice towards old people who's not his relatives (ex : Mike).
3. Jimmy was evil and so was Tuco, in a different way ofc, but one wasn't better than the other.

Everyone deservedly praises Vince Gillian, but show runner Peter Gould has written and directed amazing episodes of both Breaking Bad and this show.
THIS episode, however, was written by Gordon Smith, and he's done some of the best work on the show, including writing Chicanery, Gloves Off, and the amazing Five-O, of course surely with input from the writing team of the show. If you see Gordon Smith as the writer, you are gonna see some great scenes.

This is one of the few times I actually agree with Pat. What Jimmy did here was inexcusable. He ruined the life of this old woman who trusted him purely for personal gain. Of all the things Jimmy did this is somehow the absolute worse.
That was a perfect example of blacking out at the wheel. Kim is running herself ragged.
Howard was not in the mood for bullshit from any of the McGills this episode. They've both become nothing but trouble for him.

The difference is that saul is very self-consious about it, but Chuck pretends he's on this high horse, better than the people around him. I hated jimmy for what he did here, but he showed regret more than Chuck ever did. They're both bad. But this thing with the old lady, amongst all the cartel drug stuff, is the worst fucking this jimmy did, yeah

It’s not true that Chuck didn’t want Jimmy to succeed. Chuck correctly predicted that if Jimmy became a lawyer, he would abuse that position. And so Chuck refused to give him a job. But he never sabotaged Jimmy’s attempts to be a lawyer on his own. He only went against Jimmy after Jimmy proved Chuck right.

The scenery outside as Kim was driving, it started to change in a blink, very clever way to show time lapse where Kim isn't aware she's falling asleep, she just continues to talk as if she's awake the whole time, and then... bang!
About Kim: Remember that at this point Jimmy is basically broke, Kim at least has to suspect that. So she takes on additional workload to compensate, because actually having to give up their place would hurt Jimmy, because he'd know that he fucked up. She is just making sure to be able to cover both halfs.

I think what Jimmy did to Irene, him ruining her relationships and isolating her, causing her to be unhappy and depressed, is the worst thing he’s done in the show. I love Jimmy/Saul, but what he did to her was absolutely repulsive. It was difficult to watch and it was hard for me to not view him differently because of it.
When Kim's crashing her car, everyone's like, ":O", except for Pat, who's like ":DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD"

Of all the movies and shows I’ve seen, nothing hit me harder than what Jimmy did to Irene. Nothing has ever made me need to pause the show so I could collect myself, until that. Rule number one is don’t ever hurt grandma, no matter what. Even the evil cartel dudes, the murderers, follow that rule. Huge props to the show writers for making Jimmy/Saul a likable character again.
I even was ok with Wqlter poisoning a child , I was like fuck them kids you gotta do what you gotta do. But this one , Jimmy toying with this old women was just too much for me :)) it's so evil

here's what I think about what Jimmy did: yes it was fucked up. I felt so bad for Irene and it was definitely Jimmy's lowest point so far. on the other hand, Irene's "friends" were also at fault. at some point, they should have been adults and had a conversation with her to tell her how they felt. I also agree with what Nahid said in that what Jimmy did will benefit them all in the end because they will get to enjoy their settlement sooner, rather than later. what I love about this show is that all of the characters are so complex and even when they do fucked up shit, we can still find moments of empathy for them. even Chuck. and speaking of Chuck, I still think he sucks. #fuckchuck
