best explanation. was searching for 2 days and finally found what i wanted to know.
Why zinc loses two electron..is it bcoz of air...or any agent..and if we dnt use dry cell for long time, will the cell dead? And zn will lose electron at that stage continuously but circuit is not complete if we dnt use it..but zinc will corrode losing electron continouously...is it happen

Positive electrode is anode and negative electrode is cathode
Since it's is type of galavanice cell, so in galvanic cell anode is negative while cathode is positive
