I remember watching this for the first time as a kid. I have never forgotten it ever since. I was so touched by this scene. 10 years later I still remember it from time to time. It's been basically etched in my mind. And whenever I watch it, the feeling's still there.
This show got me through a very dark time in my life about 15 years ago. Thankful to this wonderful story for givingme hope. I am doing well now and I have a wonderful life.
i know this scene solidified a lot of peoples views for haruhi and hikarus relationship but honestly to me it solidified tamakis and hers relationship more. he knew more about her and overall fear enough for him to notice the storm and know she was gonna need someone with her. he immediately sprung into action to tell hikaru to go back and look for her. if tamaki hadn’t called him in the first place, hikaru would’ve continued to wonder off for who knows how long and totally forget about her whereas tamaki would’ve went straight to look for her. sure he didn’t know about her fear, but the signs she showed made it so obvious if he would’ve took the time to enjoy her presence instead of going into his little jealousy mean guy spree. and in the manga tamaki actually does meet them at the church and carries her out. hikaru was cool and all, but tamaki was right, his jealousy was very annoying and no good.
@@IBeMelissaright. i've seen so many ppl on tiktok hating on tamaki for being the endgame in the story. they just didn't like his personality lmao. i love the combination between a nonchalant (haruhi) and overreacting character (tamaki) lol. there's tons of green flags when it comes to tamaki and how he truly cares for her.
I know that it's supposed to be Haruhi and Tamaki but I think it works just as well with her and Hikaru, She helps him to become his own person apart from his brother and start caring about other people. I think that the show spent too much time developing the Twins as characters and stuffed all the Tamaki stuff at the end, making Tamaki a rather shallow character for most of the show. I think if they had spent more time showing that Tamaki wasn't just an obsessive creep (no offence) there would be less of an argument for who she's better for. That's just my opinion though I'd love to hear yours.
Crazy how they made it so that Haruhi isn’t just scared of lightning, but is traumatic whenever she hears it which is why she’s used to hiding alone from it. Her dad was always so busy with work to provide for them so she never had anyone to comfort her.

Exactly, I don't mind the HaruHika shippers but Tamaki was perfect for her for many reasons including what happened here.
