The Sai Kung Shap Sze Heung Kwun Hang Chat Shing Temple, also known as the Seven Star Gods Temple in Sai Kung, has a history of over 300 years and holds great cultural significance in the region. Its origins can be traced back to the Qing Dynasty when fishermen, while out at sea, accidentally caught seven stone eggs in their nets. Even when they threw the stones back into the sea and tried to catch more fish, they continued to retrieve only those seven stone eggs. Recognizing this as a miraculous sign, the fishermen began to worship and pray for blessings, resulting in abundant catches. In gratitude for the divine favor, a temple was established to honor the deities.
Throughout its long history, the temple has faced various challenges, including a devastating fire. However, guided by the divine, the temple was eventually relocated to its current location. The process of relocation was guided by the divine beings, ensuring the continued presence and blessings of the gods in this sacred place.
