"They've sent in their best man,
and when we roll down that 69th bridge tomorrow,
on our way to freedom,
we're gonna have their best man leading the way..
From the neck up..!
On the hood of my car..!"
Isaac Hayes, quote from 'Escape From New York' 1981
This is without a doubt, the best version I have heard! I Love It!!!!!!!
Absolutely awesome my friend!
Peace,
Don~
"I'm ready to kick your ass out of this world... war hero"
r you sure you have enough ,nuff
They need to make a 3rd "Escape From..." with this version.
This is hotter than any wet dream I've ever had. Very good work!
This is simply the best version of this theme ive heard. Great job man!
This is the best version I have ever heard if a remake of the film is ever made this has got to be used for the title you kept to the original and added your own touch which makes it feel more for present day well done.
Excellent cover
Beautiful strong updated version my friend! I like the Isaac Hayes' sample from the original movie. Still remains one of Carpenter's best soundtracks I think.
Great ;)

Sounds good - nice and full, good energy. Love the samples.
I would love to have an extended version of this. Awesome stuff!
Two thumbs up, way up !
Nice update to the original without straying from it, also loved the Issac Hay's vocals addition.
monumental, bravo
This is a piece of work mate, like the construct in the drumkit and the arp, sounds very Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty intro like.
Really loved this movie, hats off on this cover, very well put together
Excellent, un style un peu oublié mais qui donne toujours la pêche, BRAVO !!!
This is amazing!! Great job!
Very nice.
@Donny10
thanks. i was inspired by the version of mik300z, which still tops mine. i'm already afraid of the moment, when gattobus decides to do one.....
Great Work 👍
very great cover
+stouph25 agrreeed
excellent work
amazingly strong bassline considering how simple it is
more videos please ;-) All are great !
Omfg this is incredible. Well done sir.
No offense, it sounds great, but are you really playing this? You seem to be hovering alot between F natural and F#, which wouldd have a very dissonant sound. Also hitting clusters of keys together I don't hear together.
Really great version
Bella cover mi piace moltissimo anche i suoni bravo
Excellent!

Great job there!
This is fucking awesome
imust be mentally ill cant stop listening 2 the drops ans highs ,on a human heart beat
Amazing work ! I did a little cover myself (a free interpretation -see on my channel) but I'm really impressed by such habilty with the synthesizers. It's fun to see all these covers, I'm really surprised by the quality of them all. It was such ahead of his time back in the 80's, I'm not surprise the soundtrack still lived in 2010 !
damn dude this is perfect!!! awesome!
Could see this as a updated version of the theme for the theoretical remake they are talking about
Yesterday I made a remark on the bassline differing from the original on one specific note (I know you're aware of what note)... However, the more I listen to your cover, I realize that it's a deliberate change - and it fits this version well, though I'm not sure I would have made it. :-)
Anyway, you know what I mean!
OMG your amazing
nice speech (martin luther king?) and amazing version. was only missing the "whee" like in the original at 2:25 watch?v=nv3L0YIRoyo. but that's Künstlerfreiheit
I guess it's a "modern update" of sorts...but I prefer the grimy analog feel of the original 80's track.
@574rdu57
the speech at the beginning is a sample from the original movie
Absolute perfect !!
Best
@wizardofozbe
thx a lot for your nice comment. kudos
Good sounds!!
Wow ! great stuff ! (i tell that for all 3 vid's i've just seen). Il just love the way you respect the original, while adding your personnal touch, and a true modernity !
how did you make that sound on the PC3 ? i've already tried to find one similar to play this song but never found one close !! (and i'm not good enough at programming to intend to to it all from scratch !) noob question : is it FM ?
would you share your program or setup ? (on sonikmatter for example ?)
cheers ! gilblas
What is the arpeggiation setting for the main staccato back track? What's the chord used? It sounds a bit different than the original. I think the original was step sequenced but not sure.
Did you do this working off sheets, or did you do it by ear? If the latter, I have to say you did very very well! I have only one bassline correction to make, the rest is perfect from what I remember (I have audiographic memory [or whatever you call it, when it's sound, not visual input we're talking about]). Reply for that >>single
I've logged in just to comment on how awesome this is, great version I must say; by the way would you rate the microKorg as a good synthesizer and what software do you use within your music lab?
@vlem1991
thank you....next on my list is probably tubular bells
Is there a download of this? with or without the voiceover? please say yes
omfg your the man!!!!

"From the neck up!"
Kick my ass, man! This is great shit!
@conexant51
i do.....;)
If Hollywood were smart, which they typically never are, they would use this kind of sound for the theme song of whatever "remake" they're planning. Of course they'll probably ditch the entire beautiful atmospheric synth music and go for some generic forgettable orchestral score...
theres dive math in the tune all you hav 2 do is listen
You have to see the brain
Excellent!
