This song is a god damn masterpiece, truly. I didn’t expect to love this, but damn, turns out it’s my favorite TT of theirs.
To my surprise Shut Down is actually really good! I love all the references to the past mvs, they were so cute. Born pink is such a great album as well. I’m glad They finally came back 😭
Why would you be surprised that it's good? Blackpink never miss, regardless of what the loud naysayers say. The bigger you are the more haters you get. It's all out of envy.

I am also a PWF supremacist, but this was definitely a bop. Since Pink Venom was already a pretty intense, badass song, I wasn’t sure what we’d get from this, but I’m glad they kept the production simple and really emphasized the lyrics and hook. The sets were also pretty simple, which kept focus on the members. Overall, pretty solid cb from the Pinks.

This song is such a FLEX of thier career and their previous MVs and i love it. I agree with you the sampling of classic music is amazing. Jennie and Lisa rapping back to back just makes both of them shine even more. This was a good tittle track but now im really curious what their next MV is gona be like cuz it felt alot like the ending of a chapter to me.
Every once in a while there is a damn good reason why the people on top are who they are.
I'm afraid it will be at least another 2 years for another album. They will have a world tour next year. All the best for BP ❤️

It's really good! If you've noticed that every moment harks back to popular scenes in your previous videos. "THIS IS NOT A RETURN AS WE NEVER LEAVE". This is a more than DIRECT answer to clueless haters, as people like to complain about them reusing ish. Smh… I love the music. Born Pink is the big pop album the girls of BLACKPINK were born to make. It's their return after a period of growth, when Rosé, Lisa and Jennie completed their solo debuts (hopefully Jisoo finds her sound soon). But it's faster, brighter and a lot more fun than the previous album “The Album”. the MV is a masterpiece and reminds me of how BLACKPINK gained their reputation and became more popular internationally for all the years since their first debut. They delivered high-impact bangers and fierce rock & roll anthems effortlessly! They are the biggest girl group in the world for a reason. 🖤💗WE BLINKS ARE PROUD OF THESE FOUR ICONICA QUEENS. I'm not gonna lie, tears were shed. I didn't really like Pink Venom, which was fine bc I'm used to it by now not loving a lot of their songs and I by no means hate any of their songs, so like it really wasn't the end of the world for me. I came into this thinking this was gonna be another usual Blackpink song that I would just plainly like and that is it. I wasn't ready for the whiplash?? This is very much still Blackpink, but it sounds different to me for some reason? And surprisingly I really loved this song. I cried real tears bc I finally have a favourite BP title track??

I'm probably the only one still defending Pink Venom, so before I go into Shut Down I want to quickly say I STILL think Pink Venom is Blackpink's best song. That said.... Shut Down is their 2nd best song (imo). Maybe it's because I'm being stubborn and just want people to love Pink Venom as much as I do, but I think Shut Down's simplicity puts it a notch below the variety in Pink Venom. I think Shut Down was making a point, had a gimmick, so it was staying one note. They weren't trying to throw the world at us because they knew we'd be freaking out that everyone is rapping. BUT... once we get past that amazing fact, I think Pink Venom offers more as a song.
Now if you excuse me... I'm going to re-watch Shut Down (after having defended Pink Venom to the moon). lol

Honestly glad they tried something that sounds like a new direction while holding to base elements that characterize them. I really wanted more Jisoo and Rose on the verses but that is par for the course. For me I think its the ballad like slow songs on the whole that really sell things this time around, would have loved to see 'The Happiest Girl' as title track.

Don't know about this one. Kinda repetitive. Don't really like the vroom vroom vroom, whip whip whip, kinda lines. Doesn't sound as badass as the visuals and the rest of the song imply.
