The alpine vegetation in the Western Himalayas is found only upto a height of 3000 metres while in the Eastren Himalayas it is found upto a height of 4000 metres. The reason for this variation in the same mountain range is? 1995 question , for this question most common answer is Eastern Himalayas get more rainfall..but there is also another logical option which is Eastern Himalayas near to equator and sea coast and this factor is cause of rainfall and reduced snow line as altitude and latitude play important role in vegetation..i have doubt regarding this question which is most appropriate answer and is there any answer key from UPSC.and thank you for video 🙏
