You don't have to use that room to change your character. Equip the Tasmanian Sword, jump and press up+attack button and u will change to the next character.

when do I get the sword
Bunny, you get the Tasmanian Sword in one of two ways; the first way is by finding the secret shop in the underground. Its on one of the top ledges that leads to a dead end. The door is hidden. The second way is from a random item drop. I found the sword in the samurai castle as the lion man. Not sure if it drops anywhere else.
Found a great trick for getting the Dragon Charm Stone... You know that annoying part with the bouncy floor where you can't keep from bumping into the breakable blocks that you need to be able to walk back across to get to the door? Well, if you equip the Magical Saber, then you can't break blocks, which means when you hit them with your head, they don't break. Once you do that, that otherwise very frustrating section is super easy.

Holy crap buddy! You know how long I've been trying to do this room and it just dawned on me to watch a tutorial on it? I completely forgot about how when you have the magical saber equipped that you can't break blocks I'm like over here I've been trying forever!!! thank you!

PlentyXP It is great! Currently it is on PS4, XBOX 1 and Switch. The advertising was very minimal but it was from a small company. Only digital purchase. It really is a great remaster/ remake. If you like the original you have to get this. and hope for more remakes out of this company !

anyone wanting a tip for the lizard stone, you can equip the magic sword near the end and you won't break blocks anymore. Useful for ignoring clouds or the final jump test.
Read this right after I beat it without the Magic Sword. Turns out if you hit the corner of a block it won't break.

u do know that the lizardman breaks blocks by headbutting them.
hence you can get there in lizard form u dont need to be the lion.

I figured out the tasmanian sword. if you jump in the air then hold up and hit attack you will switch hero. Much faster than pedestal's.
My thoughts:
- Lizard-Man: Location is fine, puzzle is fine, unfortunately you're more likely to discover it as Lion-Man. It's a shame Lizard-Man is so useless after you get the other forms. E.g. he's naturally immune to lava but this never gets used.
- Mouse-Man: Relatively easy to find (especially with modern graphics style) but the puzzle is the hardest. So much backtracking....
- Piranha-Man: Rather difficult to find (invisible door really?), puzzle is slightly on the easy side.
- Lion-Man: Most difficult to find (without retro graphics), puzzle is fine, especially the latter half where you're NOT supposed to break blocks.
- Hawk-Man: Easy to find, puzzle is fine.
- Hu-Man: Easiest to find (must beat game first), puzzle is on the hard side.
The last puzzle for the Hu-Man stage was really good imo, the shield knockback was an interesting mechanic to base the final bit of the level around.
Not sure if I like how they changed the charm stone system in the remake. The original was maybe a little too complex for nothing but I loved the fact you could farm the charm stones from a lot of places in the original. The hidden levels are tough but really lack artistic design. I know what they did there but I would have prefered that they re use actual world environnements.

I hate to be "that guy" but when it comes to lizard man stone you don't need lion man to get in the water, you can use the tornado, or if you don't mind getting hit just jump in the hole on top of the enemy and you will pass through after taking damage. not that it really matters but lets not make out lion man is the only way
Yeah I honestly didn't realise this til after I made the guide. Silliest thing is..... I break the change block in the village with the Lizard right at the start.... ahem.

Except that dreaded Mouse Unknown Area where developers expect you to be perfect.
To make matters worse, you can't transform during these stages even if you have the Tasmanian Sword.

I have found the sword that allows me to transform i actually got the lizard stone without the lion, very hard though, what i want to know is, does anyone know what the blocks in the transformation house are for in the villiage?? i have broken them and flew up as the bird but there is nothing up there, does anyone know if there is something to do with that or are they just there? thanks for any help, just really annoying me lol
Screw the freaking Mouse-man one I have never been so angry in a long time playing a video game. 1 hour and a half and so much magic items wasted.
It is a real test >_< It was pretty much the most testing part of the game. Feels good getting through it though!
Yeah it feels like it's luck sometimes because Mouse-man feels a bit clunky trying to attach to the blocks. So relived when I finally got it.

Yeah I haven't raged that hard at a game in a while. The mouse man stone was infuriating.
It's just very frustrating, it wants extremely precise jumping to be held.

also on my 3rd save I can buy the Gallick Sword with only 4 stones and I haven't even beaten Daimyo Dragon. Can anyone explain this?

Each trial has us the player to focus on each transformations weakness
Lizard Man: Head breaker
Mouse man: platforming
Piranha man: Combat
Lion Man: Defense
Hawk man: Water
when you defeat vamp dragon you can get the galic sword.No need charm stones
Mister Markul What console did you play on? On normal mode PS4 I didn't get the sword for finishing. I needed the 4 stones. Good thing about the charms is that you can get it even before the Vamp Dragon.
Ps4 in normal mode when i finished with the vamp dragon i can buy it . In that moment i had 3 stones only

What are charm stones for?
Having all 6 enables you to use secret doors which take you directly to the Dragon bosses. Been there, done that on the 1989 original :)
Don't like the Mouse-Man stone at all. Not sure if I want to try again for the PC version.
Why did you cut the end of the human part?
He didn't show all the unknown levels for any stone. They were all cut.

when the remake came out.
Considering you pay over 5000 gold for Legendary Shield and more than the Gallic Sword for the inferior Crystal Sword it's pretty cheap.
Where do I get the damn key for the Piranha stone? This game is infuriating.
The last ghost in that room, he pops out of the raised blocks before the last yellow ogre. I missed it at first too.
I dreaded the mouse portion of the charm stone hunt as you make one mistake and all the progress was for nothing, absolutely nothing.
Developers should be ashamed of themselves for not allowing the hero to change into another monster in the Unknown Areas if you have the Tasmanian Sword, especially the dreaded Mouse Stage where you get punished for making one measly mistake.
Its punishing hard word which ruins an otherwise great game.
I think that the game's developers need to address that bug and allow the character to change into another monster in the Unknown areas if you have the Tasmanian Sword, including the option to change to a bird in that dread mouse area.
That way, your hard work is rewarded, not punished for one measly mistake.

Synbious If you find the doors you can NOT miss the stones.
It doesn't show how to get passed the last area of the Lizard area and others.
