The Warning shows a hallmark of being a great musician: Always wanting to learn, refine, explore, and discover. I learn something new every day on my instrument. How can you "master" something that is infinite? And that's the joy of music.
was interesting to see the 3 different moods from them while he was behind the drums.. Dany was just in awe, Pau was studying/soaking in everything he said and Ale was just there, interested but stone faced lol Can tell he is having a blast with these young ladies!
Enrique was born in the large metropolitan city of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He was drawn to the drums at a very young age and began formal instruction at age 7 at the Escuela Superior de Musica Carmen Romano. His father, Enrique ‘Monstruo’ González, was an avid record collector and a pioneer radio personality and DJ specializing in classic American rock and roll. His mother, pop singer Vianey Valdez, recorded 17 albums in the 60s and 70s, so there was always music at home and he was exposed to rock and roll, blues, and jazz early on. In 1997, Enrique, his brother and 3 of his closest friends formed Jumbo, an alternative rock band signed to Sony BMG Mexico. Over the next eight years, Jumbo put out three albums and a hits compilation supported by 12 videos, and extensive touring throughout Mexico, Latin America, and the USA. In 2002, Enrique was invited to perform at the prestigious Groove All Stars events, as well as Expo Sound:Check in Mexico City. In 2005, Enrique relocated to Los Angeles and continued performing with some of Latin America’s most respected and renowned artists, while also recording frequently as a session drummer. By 2007, Latin pop artist, Aleks Syntek brought him on board as Musical Director and drummer, which kept him performing non-stop throughout Mexico, Latin America, USA, and Canada for the next 5 years. In December 2011, Enrique was invited to become the drummer/percussionist for Grammy Award-winning, legendary East LA rock band, Los Lobos, featuring: David Hidalgo, Cesar Rosas, Louie Perez, Conrad Lozano, and Steve Berlin. Throughout 2013 and 2014, Los Lobos has been celebrating their 40th Anniversary with an extensive tour that includes shows throughout USA, Canada, and Europe. Enrique is sponsored by and enthusiastically endorses Vic Firth drumsticks, Gretsch Drums, Zildjian cymbals, REMO drumheads, Humes & Berg cases, Roland electronic percussion, and Cymbag cases, exclusively Performance Spotlight with Enrique "Bugs" Gonzalez courtesy of Encore Sessions and Professional Drum Shop in Hollywood, CA! see th-cam.com/video/D8GN8afuiuk/w-d-xo.html
Some comments are really useless, who said this was a competition between Bugs and Pau? Basically, there are ONLY 3 ways to learn; studying, experimenting or basing ourselves on the knowledge of others, that is, their experience. These girls, including Pau, have been VERY clear in saying that they want to learn AS MORE as they can AND there are things that ONLY the experience of guys like Bugs can give them. When I started to see Pau's way of hitting, the shape of his arm caught my attention, it reminded me of "Toro" Valenzuela and I thought; "That girl is going to hurt her arm", a few minutes later I came across a comment from a drummer who shared "part of his years of experience" saying exactly the same thing (well he shared that he hurt his arm and back hitting So). The little, or a lot, that Pau has learned from Bugs, will be good IF it helps him improve his technique and / or helps him avoid injuries (for example, what he tells him about his foot and the pedal, is EXCELLENT advice , at first it is NOT noticeable but over time, SO MANY years of having a tense foot in an ANTINATURAL position can cause terrible pain, does anyone want that?) Hopefully there is someone who can translate my comment into English, so that everyone understand, my English is poor and I do not want the meaning of my comment to be lost.

Who is Enrique Gonzalez ? never heard of him, can't say I like his style it's all crash and bash after awhile it just sounds like boring noise, drummers with "Feel" are much more pleasurable and interesting, like Pau, she's a force of nature. she's the best !
Thanks but no thanks, he's only been their drummer since 2012, when he plays he's all over the place and painful to listen to nothing at all like the original Los Lobos sound, I prefer Victor Bisetti or Louie Perez.
Drummers like Bugs don't play with feeling they only try to impress and end up putting everyone to sleep, the best drummers in the world are Pauline Villarreal, Neil Peart, Ginger Baker and Nick Mason.
@@Roze7S WTF are you talking about? I said nothing about those guys I just named a few drummers who are/were really really good. I never said a word about anyone not being good. I just added a few names to the list of greats. Names that are often over looked.
You don't know shit about music if you think Bugs only "tries to impress". He's an amazing musician with over 30 years of experience at a professional level. Paulina is great but nowhere near that level of knowledge... yet. She's super young, works hard at her craft and has infinite potential to become one of the greats but anyone with minimum musical knowledge can tell the difference in skill between them.
