Haven't logged in for a while, just logged in because I have to express my gratitude to Dr Haridross for such clear and visual explanation. I learned more in this lesson than in the last month in my solid state physics course. I look forward to watching your other videos.
MIT lectures failed to make me understand this so was oxford course notes but you sir have made it 'crystal' clear for me in the first go. Thanks a lot.
This is a spectacular lecture! Thank you for clearly explaining many key points that other professors and text books often fail at. I also have a question for you. Why can the origin in reciprocal space be located at any reciprocal lattice vector? If a wave function has a wave vector equal to any reciprocal lattice vector, does it have an energy of 0?
What is the mathematical relation that governs the broken graph for electron energies due to interaction with lattice points and what really is happening that frobids certain energy values?
Sir, In the Bz boundaries there is no particles are present actually I think. So I have confused with the concept of saying diffraction taking place at BZ boundaries when wave touches there?
Best lecture found on the internet for E-k diagram and Brillouin Zones! Thank you NPTEL

I never had such an intuitive understanding of this topic though I have a master in theoretical physics. Well done sir. thanks.

Thanks Dr. Prathap for an excellent way of teaching Brillouin zone.
I spent months to understand band structure. many thanks doctor
Absolutely brilliant lecture! Best in the entire world!
That was a very clear and concise explanation of k-space, and how to construct brillouin zones. Thanks!!!
Dear Professor,
Thanks a lot for your amazing explanation. It really helps me appreciate the subject better.
Understanding about the topic got really simplified.
Can you please explain why the energy curve changes for diffraction?
Great explanation mate! I've been struggling with this concept for weeks and you just clarified everything.
Most of my confusions got washed away by your lectures thanku very much ...sir
Great presentation...very good, very clear. I clarified confusing issues I had for months. Keep up!
Excellent lecture Sir. One of the best. Explains many concepts. Thank you for your effort.
Excellent. I would explain it the same way and this is how it should be done. Respect. I am glad to see someone who likes to really teach.
Best lecture Sir. Very keenly explained each and every term.
Respected Sir, it was an awsome lecture.......Thank you for such an awsome lecture

a very good video... thank you for the lecture Professor.
You, sir, are a genius. Thank you!
Really fantastic teaching. Thank you very much!
I generally don't comment on you tube but after seeing this.
WOW!!!!!!!!
This was very informative and concise! Thank you for such a great lecture.
Very nice lecture I have ever enjoyed. Thanks Doctor
great lecture !! this annoying k vector has been torturing me for days. a thousand gratitude, thank you, sir!
thank u sir, almost clearing my doubt of origin of band in solid
One of the best class
Thank you so much for making this video. This has helped clear a lot of things up for me!
Thank you so much for such a wonderful explanation of the topic.
Bisma Imran welcome
Wonderful lecture !!! Thank you very much!!!
One of the best 😮
tankyu sir for ur effort an excellent lecture in all aspects, but I have a question how diffraction lead to distorted in energy and energy gaps.
Thank you, sir for giving wonderful lecture........
What is the mathematical relation that governs the broken graph for electron energies due to interaction with lattice points and what really is happening that frobids certain energy values?
you are the best sir
such a great lecture
Thank you so much great explanation!
Alhamdulillah, a good one
its relly excellent lecture
Thank You sir. You are very good.
Very good lecture ...
Good lecture....sir plz explain how we can find conduction band and valence band in brillouin zone...plz explian
Thank you 😊
thank you sir..
Really helpful
You are hero...sir...
perfect explanation

Very nice.
THANK YOU SIR..
@17:39 how Diffraction leads to distortion or how does soem energy value become forbidden ?
Have you got the explanation of the question you are asking for? If yes please explain me the same
I am also looking for an explanation for this
THANK YOU G!
Thank you sir
I am village student good for me knowledge of zone sachme
thank you!!
Ye wording show ho rha toh eske liye👍
What is bound electron???
Can we take more than one origin at a time ?
Muy claro excelente
Great background music at first
sir can u make video on extended, reduced, periodic zone scheme
seema nooli see the whole video
Wow.
