This is an absolutely amazing performance. Also loved that they performed, very challenging technical parts with match grip. It was an awesome performance.
@williamz8330 I'm saying that just because Dartmouth uses it doesn't make matched grip more correct or better. There are other, more important reasons to use matched, not just for the sake that one successful group uses it. If it was so superior, than the majority of groups would be doing it. FYI, I'm a matched grip fan but HIGHLY prefer the look and feel of traditional grip for marching/rudimental snare drum
@@NebrasKorneater I’m saying that Dartmouth using it can and should inspire other groups to use it. When some NHL players started wearing neck guards, it took the stigma away and more players from youth leagues started wearing them. That’s the kind of influence that Dartmouth has and should have. It’s a perfectly legitimate and good reason
evanescence vocal samples is just automatically heat

The snare at 4:16 “HIIII!!!!” XD
Can’t believe Dartmouth changed their drums. They’ve always been gold for as long as I can remember. Nice show though!
Nicely done all! Nice book Tom!
When my kids ask Why can't we play traditional grip? The answer is always If it's good enough for Dartmouth it's good enough for you!
There are 10+ good reasons to use matched grip; Dartmouth playing matched isn't one of them.
If your kids want to play trad you should let them so can be prepared for corps
@@NebrasKorneater I think it's a perfectly good reason. Dartmouth is at the top of the activity and hugely influential, and they should be
