The Blazer EV has an 11.5 kW on-board charger, so no way that charger is putting out 16.8 kW or those higher figures you mentioned. I can only assume the 16.8 figure is the number of kWh that has been delivered so far in this charge. The other thing is I would be surprised if your dealership installed a 48A charger. Most install 32A chargers, which if true that charger box would be limited to 7.7 kW. Love your videos and I try to watch them all. All the best.
I recently replaced the cabin air filter on my 2017 Chevy Cruze Hatchback, thank goodness for TH-cam. What a pain in the a**, I have those same trim tools, worked great.
Damn, I wish you did make a video about installing the charge port thing. Probably would've made me actually go and buy the thing, since it otherwise seems too annoying to figure out. I appreciate what you do show here though.
And don't ever get it installed by the dealer do you want like 100 bucks install it the guy at the Chevy dealership acted like it was such a hard process I pulled out my phone went on a TH-cam video I said no thanks I'll do it myself
I gave the official charge port illumination about ten minutes thought before I decided I'm not paying for that and then having to do all that work. :-) Just bought a little stick-on light that required no other changes, and it has a long live'd lithium battery that'll last for years. After driving the Bolt EV for three years, I'm no longer in the. Chevy family. Couldn't wait for the Blazer, and when prices plummeted on the Mach-E, grabbed a GT Performance Edition. Now that the Blazer is out, the lack of CarPlay would probably still push me away, but I'm very glad GM has been able to drop the prices of viable EV by so much that there are very reasonably priced Blazer EV.
Go for it! I actually like it more than I thought. It's pretty neat. Also change out your reverse halogen light bulbs with LED's.. also very easy to do and looks so much better
very nice video Dave. appreciate all of them too. you seems like a true genuine guy who not only wants to sell car but really get intouch with the customers. also Im again telling you that im really looking forward to be a car salesman myself. the only thing stressing me out is all the paper but I guess its simple enough with all that computer thing ? Im also looking to so get a nice Chevy blazer ev RS with the nice bright red color just like you showed in the video. I dont see alot of them on youtube
Hey Dave great video as always. Finally picked up a 22 Bolt EUV LT with all the options. Love the idea of an illuminated charge door. I think I will stick with the dealership to install it. The dealership I purchased from amazingly has three chargers at the dealership and one is a level 3. Unfortunately the salesman said they don't use it much cause the power company charges an excess use fee. Anyway I love the Bolt and am finally happy to join the electric car world.
The charging port light looks cool. I'm temped but doesn't seem worth the cost. Maybe the price quoted includes installation? However, I do admit I'd love to have an illuminated bowtie emblem on the front. That I think would look totally cool at night.
You are using a L2 evse, so I’m not sure what it’s reporting but it’s certainly not doing 30. The car has an onboard 11kw charger for L2 if memory serves, but most L2 outlets max out around 7. If you had the decimal in the wrong place and it was jumping around under 5.0 and 3.0, there’s definitely something up with it.
@@dougbriggs4176 I looked up the price of an AC Delco ACF (almost OEM since there are different versions, the highest being OE) on Rockauto, and it was about the same price as the Fram, so employee cost on one is likely about the same.
You seem very genuine and nice...but what you said is the exact reason people hate buying vehicles at a dealership. Instead of having to ask, why cant you just display the best price and be done with it? When you buy groceries, you just buy them. You don't ask for free grapes?
Because vehicles sales are a negotiated product. I would love if everyone came in and paid the displayed price on the window sticker just like they do for grapes. Just not the car business, unless you go to Tesla where people do pay the listed "best price" and also contribute to the fact that Tesla has the second highest profit per car of all brands. (1st is Ferrari)
Depending on the load on the power grid, the charging rate changes. Welcome to the insane world of EV's. It always takes me the same time to refuel my gas SUV, 12 to 15 minutes.
According to the charger, it’s reading KWh, not kW. kWh is a measurement of energy - not power. I’m reading that it’s given out 16.8 kilowatt-hours of electricity to the vehicle for that charging session.
Who do us Blazer EV buyers complain to about the lack of "freebies" like the Bolt/Lyriq buyers get? Haha, no EVGo credits, no home charger covered by QMerit? You must have an in. Just kidding but it is annoying. Love your content!
The Blazer EV comes with a dual level charger 110 & 220 so all my client needed was the outlet installed in her garage which her electrician said he can install for a few hundred bucks
@@TrainsFerriesFeet No. it’s people that HATE change. To them the whole world should be like them. Driving a 400 hp full size truck to Walmart to get a case of energy drinks. Then bitch about high gas prices. They are perpetually angry and EV’s are “woke”. I’m surrounded by them here in PA.
Very nice of you to set up that customer's MyChevrolet!! Most people don't "care" about that, until you show them how much "free" stuff they can get.

It’s nice you get 3 year free with the Chevy app. Always look forward to seeing videos from you after getting home from work 😊
Thanks for watching!
It looks real easy, sure!
Even the dealership guys don’t go for the $50+ GM cabin air filter! 😂

How do u guys plan on charging a full lot of EVs

I’d love to have an ev, but I drive way too much. I do appreciate how you don’t push them but will teach us about them. Thanks
Are u sure you ran that wire through the “engine compartment”…??? Lol
Nice vids… blazer rs ev driver here!! Great vehicle so far!!
LOL, I literally had the same thought as I was saying the words

Yea, something is up with that unit. The other day it said it was putting out 3.6 kwh but the vehicle was showing like 9 kwh going in
Love your videos. Did the EV ever charge?
Not buying the GM cabin air filter at the dealership?
I was already at AutoZone buying the tool I needed
Even Dave knows they charge too much for them at the dealership 😂

hi dan, what if the lady decides she doesn’t like electric can she return it
Did u post the illuminated port thing on reddit someone posted it there also lol
So your buying a Fram filter not a genuine GM parts cabin filter interesting no discount ?
Really didn't think about it or price shop. I was at autozone to get the tool I needed and just picked up the filter because I was there.
I know...there's different AC Delco filters available, some that cost just as much as the Fram

Ahh. Yeah, session total makes a lot more sense for that number. Good catch
I use that my Chevrolet money towards one of my payments

How far can he go without finding a charging station?
When you charge your own car at the dealership is it free ? 🆓
Wish the my Chevy app on my Silverado was included for 3 years. They wanted to charge me 60$ a month for that. So I dropped it
$60 per month is for the full sweet of Onstar products including wifi hotspot.... you can currently subscribe to the app by itself for $14.99
Odd he was able to lock the key in the vehicle, must be the old style key as I can’t lock the keys in my Traverse or Malibu.
I thought the same thing when on the phone with him
Can I look at that truck 😢
Box rust on such a new truck ? Looks like Ford and Ram are doing a much better job at rust proofing .
Ford is aluminum. A Dodge w/o rust? I didn't think that was possible.

wow, you are tearing apart the car basically
For a light you can’t see screw that! Lol
Ev’s are garbage
Why?
I'm on my 4th EV, one of which was a Bolt; I'll never go back to an ICE vehicle.
