Mixing/mastering is on point, not a single bad thing in this part of the song. Sick ambiences, sick drums and sound design, but it feels like Skrillex just made this as a DJ Tool/edit to play in live shows and it ended up as a official remix. A remix doesn't need to be all drops, it's not about the BANGERS. Skrillex has done so much for electronic music at this point that i wouldn't be mad if he just retired at this point. A remix is not about being "better than the original", this is just Skrillex's vision of Sicko Mode.

I think the two and a half minutes before the drop are WAY under appreciated here. All the effects Skrillex is pulling out on the vocals and the beat keeps things interesting and adds so much more detail and really spices up the original Sick Mode. The little pitch bends around 1:20 are tight as fuck, and the reverb-y thing used at 1:54 sounds so god damn good in my opinion.
It's really similar to how Aphex Twin remixed his tracks Cock ver10 and 54 Cymru Beats where instead of completely changing the foundation and composition of the tracks, he focused in on small details to overhaul the original songs in every way.

@@Polaski__7 heres the thing, dubstep/brostep WAS revolutionary but now its pretty much all been done and theres nothing as inventive as when skrillex hit the mainstream. the future of music (in my opinion) is in hybrid trap, riddim, and dub-infused rap, all of which have been the themes for sonnys last singles, (oh yeah and house cant forget that one), and skrllex isnt one to wallow in whats already been done, hes always on the cutting edge of music, usually at least a year or two before anyone even figures out how to TRY to replicate him. Im glad to see that he hasnt lost his stunning level of creativity and instead has only gotten better with time. As i like to put it; Skrillex doesnt follow the trends, he makes them, so give it some time and dont worry he's gonna hit the mainatream even harder than before.
