@@JTGKirby I don't remember much about the RTS, Flxible, ans Ikarus. The busses I rode the most as a child we these units along with the 90s units. I'll miss all of them and glad I have my memories [4000-4156, 4200-4327, 2800-2899,2900-2949, 3200-3535]
@@cb.thehtxman4597 I'm going to miss all the old New Flyers Houston had. COVID has accelerated the retirement of a lot of busses. Even the 2007 New Flyer DE40LFR is being retired.
Very nice sounding old D40LF!
I think it's sounds like a 2001 COTA New Flyer D40LF Buses.
What does COTA stand for?
The Ex-Houston METRO Bus has a Cummins ISC With a ZF HP-590.
A zf hp-590...? Possibly 5-Speed?
Wow, the popular transmission.
So many memories on these busses in Houston
Till this day as we speak I still see these buses running just not the 2800’2900 buses
The 2001 new flyers are still running I see them every 3 days at the most
@@drivingsimulation23 😲, really?
@@htxman0734 yes the last ones left won't retire no time soon
@@drivingsimulation23 Ohh! so what bus numbers are currently use in the metro fleet?
As of November 2020, METRO has retired all 2000-2001 New Flyer D40LF from revenue service.
Thats very depressing to hear, grew up riding those along with the GMCS & Ikarus
