Thanks for another great episode. I look forward to the new ones each week! The combination of timeliness, innovation, proximity to the Twin Cities and professionalism really sets this broadcast apart from all others consistently.
Great shows!!! Thx for sayisfying my fishing fix throughout the year... Keep it going! I am a diehard small/largemouth bass fisherman, however eventually will be on Lake Erie for walleye/perch living here in northern Ohio.
I know its a bit of a drive but id love to see you guys come up to Michigan in particular the flint river I've been a huge fan for a long time and the walleyes are real fighters and nice size
Once again great show guys....wish you could do a couple shows a year where the viewers could fish with you guys, kind of like a "In Depth Outdoors" viewer contest.
You guys should really do a video on the St. Louis river in Duluth again!! I live 4 blocks away from the river and fish it almost everyday I can, anyways it'd be pretty sick to see a new show on it again. And another great show this week!!
InDepthOutdoorsTV Hi team! i am an ambitious 14 (soon to be 15) year old. I am interested in getting a Tuned up custom rod..., i cant decide between the 36" precision or the 36" quick tip precision! i was wondering which rod the team prefers... i use it for multipurpose (i.e. perch-24-28" northern's) the perch in my lake are smaller, 7-9", also if u had any tips for catching 10-12" perch, i dont know if i am missing the hits or if im just not moving with the fish! if you could respond, thanks!
Once our broadcast season is done on May 18 I know all the production guys are going to need a break. At least for a couple weeks. I'm sure they'll put out videos over the summer but they won't be as regular as they have been for the last six months. If you want to see more videos... let our sponsors know!
Hey James, I live in pa and I'm trying to figure out the walleye patterns in some of the bigger reservoirs around the northwest part of pa. Any ideas for early post spawn walleye?
What kind of reels were they using? I crank this river and many others around for eyes in the spring and want a reel that doesn't bind up so much and isn't hard to turn while reeling in the bad currents. Thanks
There were a bunch of people on shore as well. Most were fishing crankbaits as well with the shore anglers mixing in husky jerks and regular floating raps in addition to the deep divers.
Joseph Brock I think most all major retailers carry them. Fleetfarm, Cabelas, Gander, etc. I did see Fleetfarm had them on sale for $2.99 last week. Not sure if that sale is still going on but at that price it would be worth a look.
Mostly by size. Almost all the smaller fish were milting males. All the larger fish were females. I don't think the guys had any males longer than 21" or so.
Are the fish edible from the Fox? I hear stories of it being polluted, but question why so many anglers go there to fish for walleyes. I understand people may be trophy fishing, but for people who fish them for sport, why not go after bass or northern since they are awesome fighting fish?
If fish from Green Bay are edible, then yes, they're edible. The fish being caught in this episode spend very little time in the Fox River. They come in to spawn then exit. I know the Fox River is undergoing a clean up of some sort and I'll admit I don't know what impact the condition of the Fox has on the fish that come in to spawn but I would assume it is minimal given how little time is spent there.
InDepthOutdoorsTV I am from De Pere and i fish here almost every day if the fish come in from the bay they are edible but if they live in the fox they are not the river is polluted from all of the paper factories
Love to watch In Depth Outdoors. Fish the Winabego system alot. Its nice to watch and learn from guys who fish the same system.
Thanks for another great episode. I look forward to the new ones each week! The combination of timeliness, innovation, proximity to the Twin Cities and professionalism really sets this broadcast apart from all others consistently.
Thanks Michael. This is the kind of comment that keeps the guys going on the road when things aren't going to plan!
such heavy current . why not slack water
I have great luck in the winter on the fox. You should come fish it in late Jan and have some fun. Great show guy's !!!
Great shows!!! Thx for sayisfying my fishing fix throughout the year... Keep it going!

We really like this idea and will be looking into it for next season. No promises... but it would be really fun if we could pull it off.
InDepthOutdoorsTV HAHA...well I truly hope it works out it'd be a lot of fun to watch and maybe be a part of?....just keep me in mind

Are you going to get a new open water intro for the summer? Hey another great episode guys, love it
Nice show james..
Jiggin Rake
I want you guys to fish the oconto river in stiles for walleye this year
So James you guys are going to be done broadcasting on may 18? Like no more videos or what...you guys are my favorite
Once our broadcast season is done on May 18 I know all the production guys are going to need a break. At least for a couple weeks. Hey James, I live in pa and I'm trying to figure out the walleye patterns in some of the bigger reservoirs around the northwest part of pa. Any ideas for early post spawn walleye?
Nice show, I know Adam, real nice guy and good fisherman
James says Adam is a super guy. I'm sure he'll be invited to fish and film again in the future.
What do you guys do to attach your crank baits to the line? I heard you say get it on the snap. Are you using a plain snap or a snap swivel?
What kind of reels were they using? I crank this river and many others around for eyes in the spring and want a reel that doesn't bind up so much and isn't hard to turn while reeling in the bad currents. Thanks
what size snap swivels were u using
The Scatter Rap commercial kills me very time, I just cant handle it....
Nice as always! Have you been to Finland? I live here.
You guys should do an episode of monster carp
if u want bigger fish u should go up to the power lines in the morning and move back during the day
Cool, any smallies?
Nope, 99% walleye with a few whitefish and a carp or two mixed in. No smallies.
Good show. How deep is there?
Quite shallow, actually. 3' - 6' deep.
Is the guy with the bright yellow line using a st croix? It looks like their synbol on his rod
Yeah, James was fishing a 7'6" St. Croix Tournament Series Rod.
I live in De Pere! Haha
So what's the best way to fish for walleye from shore?
There were a bunch of people on shore as well. Most were fishing crankbaits as well with the shore anglers mixing in husky jerks and regular floating raps in addition to the deep divers.
InDepthOutdoorsTV Thanks! Where can I find one of those Storm Smash Shad in store?
Joseph Brock

Just wondering how you were able to distinguish males from females before you got them in the boat.
Mostly by size. Almost all the smaller fish were milting males. All the larger fish were females. I don't think the guys had any males longer than 21" or so.

You guys should fish for another species, the last 3 have been on walleye
The next three will be walleye as well. 'Tis the season...
Awsome
Can u not keep them there
Nice as always! Have you been to Finland? I live here.
