- This second set has all the elements of a legendary set. Watch some of the very best fight it out, trying to snatch a position in the finals, whilst also winning money for each match they win! Only two players can reach the finals. Who will they be?

FFA Challenge:
- Free for All Knockout - 7 Players starting.
- First player eliminated per game is eliminated from the Tournament.
- $20 dollar per game for winning player.
- $50 for winning the final game.
- No Rules.
- No Chat (no chat in-game, no chat in lobbies, no chat in livestream, no chat anywhere really...).
- FairPlay & Gamereplays Tournament Rules Apply.
- Scaffold surviving is not allowed unless a player has the money and ability to rebuild.
- GenTool upload mandatory "on", ideally set to "save all".

Yeah but he attacked Size first, and failed... you have to expect someone to take advantage of that, especially if it means eliminating the strongest player in the tournament
I think its not fun if players tag team the best on the map because it makes the game to predictable.
Definitely yeah, the best solution would be fake names for the players in tournaments so players with an amazing reputation such as ExCal don't get blatantly targeted like this.
EDIT: Sure, there are other ways to figure out who's who, but with no chat it should still be easier to have a fair game with this "fix"
Players should change names to random number and color after every game
I think it was fair because No Chat... No peace and no teaming... and even if the players played undercover it would be easy to find who is the player in many ways, and don't forget that it's no fun for the viewers to watch anonymous players?🤔

Just an idea that might works and help out in future tournament which also could make the game more interesting.
In survival games to avoid getting "hunted back" many people have a common name which is "123". you will find like 10-20 in each server with this name which makes it close to impossible to figure out the player.
maybe have all players change their names beforehand.

Ultimately that's how strategy games with players go. A meta will develop no matter how hard you try to avoid it.
The human element is one of the things that interest me when watching Legi's streams- that's why I was so happy to see the 2-chat rule. That's the natural evolution of the meta.

can players read each other's beacons? Wouldnt they be able to use it to chat?
How does the stream delay work in this case? Legi said that there is 3 min delay but he is answering chat messages immediately. Does that mean that people see their messages Also with a delay?
I see the messages instantly, but people won't hear my reply for the duration of the stream delay. So if someone asks a question, I see it immediately, and I respond. But people then hear my response minutes later.
Aha, so the chat that we see in the stream also Has a 3 min delay? So if i type a question during the stream, it will appear in the chat on the web, but in your stream chat, it appears 3 minutes later?

I see no reason why each player can't be assigned a random 3 digit numerical code that they make their name that only the organizer knows who is who. Not even the caster gets to know until you get to the 1v1s. Trying to say there is no anonymity is bs. And it isn't a good thing that we the viewers get robbed of really good semi and finale matches because of a badly designed bracket system and 6 players ganging up on the best player because they are greedy. It might be good strategy for them, but it's bad for just about every one else. The viewer, you the caster who has to defend it and cast worse games, the person who gets ganged up on, and future tournaments. Why would good players come to a future event if they know they will get targeted? You just end up with empty tournaments with a dead pro scene.

Legionnaire barely knows a thing about the game! clearly he's wrong when he says anonymity is impossible! obviously there are no means to find out who's playing, apart from a player name. 3rd party tools and player-identifying game mechanics DONT EXIST. There is nothing wrong with what Stazz did, the goal of the tournament is to win, and it is logical that Excal-level players get targeted first, so everyone just chill!.

Man that's not FAIR at all because excal had 2v1 and non winning any prize of the tournament just because he is the best player........best player and no prize, the players shouldn't know each other every player change his name before the tournament started and only you know every player ... this way all players will have there opportunity to win at least 20$ .... and if you gonna tell me that they should know each other to kill the best player etc.. in set1 killer let tumstep alive in 1v1v1 and let shay die and lost the 1v1 .... this is the best way to play it fair imo
over the last few weeks we've been working hard on a system that will help bring some anonymity into the picture (unfortunately it's impossible to guarantee full anonymity with players). the plan is to help prevent these types of situations, while also making sure the games retain good quality and are fun to watch. we're gonna put this new system to the test later this month :)

That was a dog act. If im Excal why would i play these events if people are going to coordinate attacks before events even started. In future events i hope excal plays under a different name otherwise whats the point of showing up
Excal got cross-mapped several times in the high profiles FFA challenges / tourneys in last two years or so, nothing new or really out of the place. Just part and parcel of FFA logic, it's very rarely won by the most skilled players, it's usually the middle ground guys that win FFAs
PS Also, Excal and Vivid teamed on some other guy in one such game and they've _allegedly_ even toyed with him a bit, which was not very much sportsmanlike, if you want to see the whole picture clear, so to say
@@borealeone yeah fair enough. I figure I'm going to skip FFA elimination games as it promotes less skill based strategies. I think the point based games are more to my liking
When you are the top dog and biggest threat it's always going to happen.. payback for ExCal and his constant dozer hunts in every game he's in
Just watched it... seems fine, exCal attacked Size, failed and Stazz did the smart thing and took advantage of it and eliminated the strongest player..
