D.V.Paluskar, was undoubtedly the most beloved vocal Hindustani Shastriya Sangeet artist among his contemporaries and his untimely demise at an inappropriate young age was a loss that would never be compensated. I could not hear pt dv paluskar' heavenly voice and singing style,cause I was not born then but I feel enchanting when I read some one who heard him. But I am proud that I heard pt mahapurush Misra, who played tabla with pt dv paluskar,at coach Behar,west bengal in 1982.
He always stood tall among Amir khan , Bade Ghulam Ali etc. He or his father B. D. Pulskar never sang THUMRI or KOTHA SANGEET !! He Carried the tradition of BHAKTI SANGEET ( Haveli sangeet ). . . from where the Hindustani Shastriya Sangeet was born !!
