    The best surfers always see I rideable wave when no one else does. JJF is known for this, dragging his brothers with him to surf weird North Shore sandbars and such. Good stuff! Everyone is surfed out from all the swell and we have another SOLID week ahead!! 😀

    Love that spot. Learned to surf just on the other side of the rocks, but caught this spot a handful of times in the past 35 years or so when it was really fun. Very rare that it ever breaks, except right on shore.

    glad these guys had fun with what the ocean provided for some most welcome out of town visitors. This spot is usually good for learners because of the protected small waves, if there are any, but not today. I highly respect anyone who can recognize fun in what the ocean offers when it is being very selective with the welcomes.

    That's probably a very VERY special trans am.
    The very first original production trans am was released without the Phoenix decals
    , they did not come with it.
    After going back and reviewing that trans am was in the original color the first three colors available were red white and blue. I'm not quite positive but I believe if I remember correctly that was the only three colors available on the first release trans am.

    I like this little novelty left in the seal beach jetty except i go straight towards the rocks where a sandbar keeps it alive. Then I go over the shoulder before the he wave hits the rocks its pretty mellow. On the Long Beach side of the seal beach jetty there is a spot towards the end a few people have surfed during really large swells it will fire hollow standup barrels like nobody’s business and the dudes seem to stand in the barrel very close to the rocks its magical

      I did too. 1970 they built it. I was 15. The Topaz locs didn't let my 13 year old brother and I over a couple of times. Single fin then a little wing pin twinny in 72 then back to single...all pre leash untill 73. Cheers for winter windswells and the occasional early summer ones, too.

    Brad, Love your content..! If you are interested in some insight from a 60yr old that surfs all the time up n down the coast… It would be nice to see some of the footage from different perspectives if you can adjust while filming a session. Just like a zoom in and out occasionally. I grew up surfing in the So Bay. Sapphire on stormy days is what we did as often as possible. I would have loved to see how the rest of the lineup looked or to see the boys from a distance on waves. We also Surfed inside the the horseshoe pier on stormy days and nights. Keep up the content. LOVE IT!

    I've surfed in parts of the Puget Sound in Washington state , US that are too far inland to get swell but if you time a wind storm right you can do it. Usually the wind is so strong either you and a buddy team up carrying the boards or you have to get down near the ground just to get to the water . I have an old beater board for it because of all the rocks but you get a few .

      Redtail hawk

    • @richardelliott8352
      @richardelliott8352 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MrGogogordo I mostly see coastal kites hunting in that area, smaller than a hawk, and hovers to hunt, while I think hawks use more altitude, and certainly smaller than an osprey, or sea eagle. I have seen those birds often, and with great appreciation, but would have to watch again to want to contradict your identification with any certainty
      I did just briefly check again, and didn't see any red in the tail, or the characteristic square shaped tail. However I am far from an expert, so without knowing the size of the bird, I can only guess from what usually hangs out at those cliffs..

    • @PalosVerdesHouses
      @PalosVerdesHouses 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrGogogordo there is no red in the tail. Osprey like to hunt fish and they are common along the water.. check some google image of Osprey - i'm more confident now

    the peak at pipes beach next to swamis only breaks from 10-15 both ways. Don't pass up on this delight once in your life. blacks is best in the winter when the other breaks are only 3 feet. the jetty at silver strand beach in Oxnard breaks twice as big as blacks but blows out easily. don't get punched out, the rich guard this break religiously. el cap on a huge swell is a right-handed pipeline but has heavy sharks because it is close to Gaviota. Good luck.
