Hey David - the roads from Ananthapur to Chikkamagaluru are pretty good and scenic. Though it's a mix of state and national highway. When we traveled there was national highway construction going on which made few stretches of bad roads but I believe the road construction should be complete by now. One suggestion is to leave from Ananthapur as early as possible so that you will reach chikkamagaluru before sunset. Hope you have a wonderful journey. Thanks for watching the vlog.
