    People buy everything online now a days. China has skipped a stage in development. Western towns are filled with empty shops because the business has moved online. But in China, they just have villages with no shops, because they literally buy everything online.

      in a way they are diverting resources away from rent seekers towards technology which automates retail - In western countries we all pay a premium for products due to rent seekers who levy extraordinary rents on retail shops. We've become used to paying higher prices for the privilege of visiting a shopping centre, subsidizing landlords. I think a more efficient use of this capital is online retail imo

      They skip the shop rental stage, but you need a workforce that is available to be able to make deliveries within a day or hours. Many areas in China are able to purchase online and delivery within hrs

    • @jish55
      @jish55 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@johnjai123321 give that another 1-3 years and even that won't be true as we've already seen Amazon's drone delivery system which can deliver packages from a warehouse directly to you while being able to lift upwards of over 200 lbs without any hassle.

    The dropping into a hole and down a shute with the red robots is genius. Its like instead of needing to take it from the robot and then place into a box, they robot drops it into a hole. Thats out the box thinking to the maximum
    In amazon they dont do that, still have a person who takes from a trolley kind of thing

    Cool and scary all at the same time my i have been a warehousemen for over twenty years my company just announced they will be adding an automated freezer warehouse to our facility to replace our current non automated one. it will reduce the work force needed by 70% or more. With self driving trucks coming online soon I am wondering how many people will find themselves unemployed. what used to be a good way of making a living will be diapering over the next 10 or twenty years. While it is hard work it has still fed my family for years.

      There won't be enough job positions for everyone anyway. Also, I don't find it reasonable to expect anyone to just get into a whole new field because of job loss. The only reasonable way to meet the automated future is to let people live without having a job. But for the moment I understand it must be hard for those who lose their jobs.

    • @Refillpods
      @Refillpods 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      well alibaba is a platform there are many retailers on it,and the retail value is calculated on "one company " JD is a company sale most products on their own. So compare the numbers JD is larger.

      Revenue wise yes, big company such as Alibaba, Tencent, Baidu (and amazon) got way higher revenue than JD. But this doesn't for the investors. If a company can keep expanding (in JD case example: more high tech, better delivery service, etc), there will then enough investors who are willing to invest in JD.

      The West puppet of Babylon (aka Illuminarti) have been selling GMO food how it is so good and healthy solving human over population problem do you believe them?
      Instead those cheap, toxic GMO and sprayed food help increase the population but they continue use this to fool the chicken and cattles.
      Population were increasing because many died in WWII, plenty of food is around and machinery improvement in agriculture and plenty of food help population growth but population do Not grow once certain criteria is reached eg like Westernised country, expense of raising children, child abortion, less mating and differences in male & female as seen also in Japan (population decreasing) & Korea... even in Russia.
      GMO food helped fuel population growth and help boost the myth (lies) created by these ruling secret societies... just like many many (major issues) things in this world are all lies.
      So do you believe people will live better off via their Universal Income ?
      Don't people see US 1% made US slaves work harder, squeezed out middle class, and the rest of the world is also becoming same.
      With far East working hardest.
      The world will still be feed more toxic poison foods, to make the birth & death cycle more painful that is for certain.
      And majority of people wouldn't be giving out Free lunch;
      they will made to struggle, work very hard, (fight and war) over these, there is No heaven down here.
