NEW YORK - From Manhattan to Brooklyn for the sunset 😍

- Brooklyn has arguably the best views in New York, and in this video, we go from Manhattan to Brooklyn the charming way. From the Brooklyn Bridge, Dumbo, and Brooklyn Bridge Park, you can see the amazing Manhattan skyline. That was our plan for the evening. So after enjoying Hudson Yards (previous video), we had lunch at Mercado Little Spain and crossed Manhattan towards the Brooklyn Bridge. It was a fun experience to cross the bridge walking. When you arrive in Brooklyn, you're basically at Dumbo, with amazing views. From there, it was a quick walk until Brooklyn Bridge Park, where a nice event was going on with food, drinks, and a free movie where the screen was perfectly positioned in front of the Manhattan buildings. Seeing the day turn into the night was one of the best experiences of this trip.
We got back to Midtown Manhattan by ferry. You need to buy the ticket at their app, called NYC Ferry by Hornblower (there was a machine, but it didn't seem to be working that day).

I am a Brazilian-American journalist living in Florida. Unfortunately, we didn't go back there this time, as it's a little far from downtown and we were short on time, but good to know that you're interested. Next time we'll include both universities in the itinerary

Great video! As a native NYer, you captured my favorite parts. ( i always tell people to go to the park and walk over the bridge when visiting. Walking the bridge isn't only for tourists, I would walk over the Brooklyn bridge a lot when I lived in Brooklyn.

After watching all your wonderful videos on NYC, I think I've made a great mistake by not pursuing an opening in MIDA NYC centre in 2008. I already accepted a posting to MIDA Mumbai centre, but it wasn't too late to pursue NYC but I didn't. It was quite foolish of me. No use regretting.

Hi Renata. The walk over the Brooklyn Bridge is popular for people who work on either side of the bridge. Downtown Brooklyn is an area where many young people live. The Barclays Center has transformed the surrounding area (Atlantic Avenue). As a person who lives here you take for granted all that’s here, but as a tourist, as you, and your husband are, it is special.
Thanks. Brooklyn looks fantastic and we will return to explore more. I think NY has a lot to offer beyond Manhattan and we would like to film it. Any suggestions from a resident?
@@RenataPereiraTV-Thank You for your response. Two areas that are trending in the city are-Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and Long Island City. The Marathon route goes through both. Williamsburg has many a nice restaurant, with a younger crowd, Long Island City has new high rise apartments/condominiums-and with subway service available, is a nice kind of “getaway” area for people who work in Manhattan. Remember, Amazon was going to open a facility there, before the community voted it down. Let me know if I can be any help to you, and your husband on your future trips here-Gary

Hello, you purchase ticket on the app NYC Ferry by Hornblower or there was a machine. you catch the ferry at the Brooklyn Bridge Pier 1 to the south side of Brooklyn Bridge. you can go to multiple destinations Wall St, Midtown Manhattan and Queens.

We did not see enough of Brooklyn to say. We do plan to return to explore more but I bet it is just as fun and probably less tourists.

At the moment we have had the COP conference with just about everybody who is anybody on the world stage trying to draw up an agreement with regards climate change, to try and prevent serious damage to the🌎echo system by✈🛫 🛬⛽🚘🚕🚓🚗🚍🏍 fossil fuel guzzlers, also relience on coal to produce 🔥⚡electricity, destroying the rain forest's in Brazil which are so important in the climate health of the planet🌎that we all take for granted with total disregard for the indigenous peoples and animals who inhabit them, by the way the island that is forbiden to us mortals lies 40 miles of San Palo Brazil's Atlantic East coast, the snakes 🐍that are of very important scientific research are the Golden Lanshead that inhabit the island in great numbers🦜🐥🐤🐦🐍🐍🐍🐍 and predate on small birds to survive,but the snakes don't like human visitors and can be quite agressive if approached by foolish and foolhardy people with no brain 🧠 between thier ears👂, one other thing I want to mension to you thier was a fatality at the Bolshoi theatre you visited when a piece of scenory fell from above the stage and killed a member of the cast performing on stage,one other thing I want you to check out Vlog sight on TH-cam called Svetlana from Russia, I think you will enjoy her vlog site, she was born in Siberia, has lived in the USA as a student, family live in Sochi,and she was a compeditive swimmer 🏊 who competed in the USA, I think you will like her site for the information she provides in her TH-cam Vlogs, you being of the same bent.

I hate restaurants where one orders through an app and pays though it, where is the personal service to warrant a tip? Bringing the food to the table doesn't count. Mine would not be forthcoming. Being able to tap and pay by contactless card (debit or Oyster) on the tube and buses in London has been the norm for years now. Even Taxi drivers prefer it now as far safer.
Yeah, I remember my trip to London in 2018 and I already paid contactless, don't know why it took so long for them to bring it here. And about ordering via the app, that's just my choice, as I love tech and like to see creative ways people are using it. In that rooftop restaurant 2 videos ago, that was the only way to order, but here the waiters take orders too. That's how she ended up upselling me on the side of rice 😉
