Implants seem to be the gold standard for replacing a missing tooth these days. I was wondering, if you tend to grind and/or clench your teeth would that mean that an implant would not be a good idea for that type of person?

Implants are good in any patients that have considerable bone support and supportive gums
Love your page and what you're about. I have a question. I'm epileptic, so what's the best option for me as anything that could move or pop out in a fall, I feel like my only option is an implant and those are sooo expensive 😔 😟 not to mention that my Epilepsy medicine eats away at my teeth, bones, hair etc. I'm so depressed on the function of my life. I've been declining since before the pandemic. And rapidly. It's like, do I choose to keep breathing and take the meds or do I choose to fall and keep what teeth I have left. im sitting here watching this video at 33 with now 2 front teeth at all, lost them a year ago and it destroyed me i tear up alot in pain and suffering everything has crashed for me i can't afford implants im so depressed over it i have no more confidence im single for over a year and i cannot find a relationship and i keep getting denied after they find out my two missing teeth are gone, it ruined my whole life basically and im so down and depressed over it. im a grown man and i almost cry everyday from this even changes at work, and yet i watch this video and wish i was a patient, i wish i could afford it, it destroyed my personality, fun, quality of life, confidence . im a mess

Can I use my peeking out wisdom tooth to close my gap with braces? I want braces for other reasons too (not needed but my teeth aint straight) i have a gap close to my wisdom tooth and it is visible when I smile. So is it possible to shift the other teeth so there is no gap anymore

i think dental implant is the best among the best solutions, kriss ai said that it is highly durable and can last a lifetime with proper care. also, it looks and feels like a natural tooth! but sadly, it is very expensive... 😥
Implants are pricey upfront, but last way longer than bridges! Def worth it in the long run, in my opinion. Btw what's kriss ai? Is he another youtuber?

implants do offer exceptional durability. they're indeed an investment, but considering their longevity and natural feel, many find them worthwhile.

You can have caps on moved teeth so that they align properly for bite. Another options as you already know implants. But its already past 6 years and your teeth got moved with mismatch also, you better go for caps for balanced bite. Or consult well experienced dentist.

Hi Dr Reuben, I had one molar extracted, my first molar on the left side of my jaw a year and half ago.
I went to my dental implant meeting and they told me that where I clench my bite was quite not perfect probably because of my missing molar and they also told me that I had crooked teeth and I was told that it is better to go to an orthodontist to have braces so they can align my bite and then opt for a dental implant and bone graft.
My question is, would they fill the gap with braces because I don’t want that to happen as I plan to get an implant for my missing lower first molar. Also, would getting braces make bone loss more severe?

Implants are RIDICULOUSLY priced! OVER 20,000 for 4! One Doctor does the actual "implant" appliance. Then, you have to go to ANOTHER Doctor for the teeth!!! At least that was my case
That's a good and valid point. So sorry to hear about your experience.
It really depends on where you go to, at our practice, everything is completed under one roof - so you will not need to travel elsewhere to get the all on 4 implant procedure and teeth done separately, so the cost- while a bit steep- is often justified. We make sure our patients walk out with the results they want.
I still don’t get the difference between implant and keyhole implant.
The basic difference between a conventional implant vs keyhole implant is surgery. Key hole implants do not require surgery whereas a conventional implant will require surgery as well as longer recovery times.
