- Since Matthew Benham took over the club, Brentford have been on quite a journey: from a perilous financial situation to the Premier League. This video aims to chart the progress Brentford have made in the last decade and how it is all thanks to Matthew Benham.
Wow, this video took a long time to get done! Still though, very happy with how it turned out and I would definitely like to do more similar videos in future. Definitely going to try to take this channel more seriously from now on so hopefully you'll see a noticeable increase in the quality of my content - I'm sure this video is already 1000x better than my first one! :)

Love it when a new or familiar face enters the premier league. Yo-yo seasons like Fulham and Norwich had got boring very quickly. Brentford’s debut against Arsenal is one I’ll remember for the rest of my life because my god, what an atmosphere. Breath of fresh air.

Crazy isn't it! All 3 of them have had a pretty mad last 10 years flying up the league. And then at the top are Scunthorpe, Yeovil and Oldham who have very much gone in different directions
Ive been so UP!!!! since the Championship days Jota and co oh my god !!! what days they were BUT the Prem NO WAY but we did it and after 50 years of trudging down the road to the Griffin Park (god bless her ) to walking into the Bees New Palace i finally understand how this was all possible ,One Man his name is Matthew Benham , thank you Sir

Thank you so much mate! Pressley has definitely shown flashes of class, got a brilliant assist last weekend, but not quite doing it on a consistent basis at the moment. I'm sure that will come with game time though as he's so young, can see loads of potential there. And cheers about the pronunciation haha I really had no idea if I was close or not!

Loved the video, probably the best analysis of the build of our club since Mr Benham joined us, he improved us in probably the best way an owner could! I still remember the heartbreak of losing the play off final in league two, but seeing us win that championship final was the most euphoric moment I've ever had. Onto the euros we go!!! COYB🐝🐝🐝

mate honestly that was near 100% perfect pronounciation of midtjylland :) well done.. midtjylland is the local rivals of my city's team so i have a hatred toward them but i can't do anything but respect what thomas frank and previous midtjylland players have done for brentford. A common joke here in denmark is that brentford is the best danish team atm :D and now with eriksen there i watch brentford more than any other international team. Dont's know if international is the right word as it might mean national team but i hope you get what i mean :)
Haha thanks mate glad to hear it! Who's your team? And yeah that's a great joke, I noticed in Denmark's game against Serbia recently for about 10 mins the midfield 3 was all Brentford players, Eriksen Norgaard and Jensen which I thought was pretty cool :)
@@ilTrequartista10 yeah that was actually pretty cool funny i didn't notice that detail myself 😅 my team is Silkeborg IF. They do not compared to midtjylland anymore since the purchase of midtjylland but when I was a kid and went to the stadium with my dad then we used to be better than them 😅 it's roughly a 30-40 minute drive that seperates the two cities

Really enjoyed this. I was gutted when Pontus left my team Leeds. We scored when Villa had a player on the floor and kicked off so your Leeds manager Bielsa allowed a goal to be scored against us.Pontus tried to stop it, he was going crazy. Then he was sold. Bloody shame.
Villa went up. We didnt but we did win an award from FIFA for being really good sportsmen! Well that made up for it. Not.

@@ilTrequartista10 I think he only did it because of some member of his staff caught up a tree several months earlier spying on Derby County and was told that it was unsportsmanlike. Every manager does crazy things nut to allow a goal that ended up costing Leeds automatic promotion is the craziest thing I've seen. Not many teams stop play if the referree hasn't blown a whistle. Leeds scored a legal goal and it would have been forgotten about in a few weeks by everyone.
Pontius is a great player and i wish he was still at Leeds.
I remember I played fifa with ryan woods at a hotel in west london the morning before the game he was man city and i was chelsea he beat me in that game 1-0
