I didn't know that the whole pack was made by Samsung even though I found out that some sounds were used in Samsung phones (e.g. hardware insert aka cosmic radio as a notification sound in some phones)
Finally i found the origin "Windows Longhorn" sounds! Yeah, Over time of the years, I already begun to suspect some "Beta Windows Sounds", specially when i watching some videos from Windows betas installing on Virtual Machines, much from these videos NEVER had the famous "beta windows sounds" Specially from Win2000 Beta 3, Whistler and the "exclusive UK" Windows Server 2003. Still, it would haven be interesing that Microsoft bought these sounds, and using these sounds on Windows Vista and 7 from Special Themes. Yeah, these sounds fits perfectly for the Interface and Aero for Windows Vista and 7, shame.... PS: Sorry my some crappy english, i'm chilean.
Too bad it's impossible to make everyone know since because of the following, 1: over 75% of people don't know this and believe that they're the actual sounds. 2: some people who DO see this say that this is fake instead. 3: some people don't use virtual machines and just believe what they hear. This also goes for other fake sounds as well, so we are just gonna have to deal with the fact that over 75% people believe the fake sounds instead of the real sounds.
@@anunimportantaccount Not that confusing if you could take the time to learn. Though, I can understand that it would be a steeper learning curve to some people. Not to mention that it's a bit of a challenge to get a Longhorn VM up and running compared to a normal XP or Vista VM.
definitely fooled me when i first heard them! idk about anyone ekse but i'd personally LOVE to use an OS with these sounds, even if they are fake. something about them just seems so calming, and makes the computer feel like a magical experience
These had me fooled for MUCH longer. Like around when Vista came out even, or was about to be RTMed, people were claiming these sounds were Longhorn sounds IIRC. I guess I thought if you look at screenshots of Longhorn's development process, there were a LOT of scrapped UI themes that they tested, so it seemed sort of sensible that MS made and scrapped a sound theme in some build or something, especially considering there was a development reset and Vista was delayed.
Most of y'all would say i joined youtube in 2023 but i'm serious, when i heard these sounds i immediately recognized it from my old samsung laptop i had in 2008
OBS .I guess the reason of the quality of the video is so low because the resolution of my vm is too high and causing the reduction of quality as I have zoomed in the screen while editing.

For Additional proof, (as other comments state) the "cosmic radio" notiifcation sound on all Samsung phones with the latest update, and the sch-i835 phone startup and shutdown. I also heard the samsung blackjack has the "NetMeeting receive call" as one of its ringtones but I haven't checked that.
I like how someone just one day asked themselves, "Wouldn't it be fucking hilarious if I fooled the internet into believing some Samsung sounds were from a beta version of Windows Vista?"
You can go to the video upload settings, change the video upload the schedule settings and tick the box with “set your video to premier”. Then click the “premier setting” and at the bottom ,there will have a option to choose a video within 15 seconds to 3 minutes as the trailer video.
Wanted to use these sounds but can't because Microsoft has KILLED all of your customization options? Don't worry, these sounds can always be implemented in Linux (why do I mention Linux everywhere)
You can still change Windows sounds. Also, Windows customization isn't really dead. There are still methods such as patching or injecting. Windhawk injects stuff.
@ThatRandomToast well yes but I don't really want to modify the internal Windows system using third party programs, these options should be enable by default

Two years late, but yeah. I was also fooled by this until I discovered VMs and WinWorldPC. That was when I found out that not a single Longhorn build had ever included this soundpack, only the default XP soundpack. As I grew older, I realized that it financially made no sense for Microsoft to make a soundpack just for a rapidly changing development channel of a future version of Windows.
