Marner is an insane player 292 points 301 games. I gurantee he'll be over 9 points on game the 2020-2021 season making him more points than games after his 5th year i could easily dee marner popping 90-110 points in 82 games in his 5th season and matthews along his side getting 90 points 55+ goals.

He went from a 50-60 point player in his first two years, to a 100+. He probably has the best value contract in the league right now
Canadian Boi Kane signed his extension in 2015, its 2020 you goof. You obviously don’t understand the business part of sports so why are you commenting? Kanes cap hit would be 12.4M under todays cap if you adjusted for the inflation of the salary cap, 1.5M more than Marner. Marners numbers a pretty much comparable to Kanes numbers his first 3 years in the league while being a way better all around player, obviously league scoring is a lot higher now but my point still stands.
I’m a penguins but my dad is a leafs and when we’re watching a game together and whenever marner makes a great play he always tells me it’s never to switch to the good side where you’ll see more like that
Matthews is a goal scorer and benefits hugely from a great playmaker like Marner but, Auston has shown he can set up great plays and improved dramatically this year defensively so, they are both great in their own ways and, I love them on the same line

I know this video is about his top players, but the ultimate goal of a hockey player should be to win the Stanley Cup, he is never going to do it because he would rather milk the organization for every possible dollar. The Bruins have their top line all at well below market value, as well as other team friendly contracts and it has allowed them to win a Stanley Cup, make two other Stanley Cup finals and this season possibly have a deep run again. The leafs are just as culpable as Marner himself
@GW H The only contract that's an issue atm is Marner. I said before all the mess with Nylander that what matters is you don't go by one-offs and 2 full years is a good idea of who they are. Nylander proved he could do 60 points a season and he has. Matthews was always worth the money and to say otherwise is just stupid. Marner was paid 2-3 million too much. Not the end of the world, pretty much every team has that much overpaid but Marner needs to live up to the contract he signed or Dubas needs to entertain offers for him. Lots of teams would pay major assets for Mitch. I want him with the Leafs but a point a game and at least 40 goals or lose him.

And the reason the bruins have all their players signed to contracts below market value is because when those players signed those contracts they weren't that good.

Marner makes so many great little plays that a lot of people don’t pick up on, but he also makes HUGE plays like the Carolina 8-6 game

Matthews and Tavares’s best seasons in their careers are both when playing with Marner on their wing.
