I love the Union Rim content! You know they’re legit by sharing an insiders look at their shop and processes. They do better-than-OEM quality work. It’s factory quality, not two guys in a garage quality lol. Thank you again Sonduren for sharing 🙏🏽
The first time I went there was a couple of yrs ago after seeing one of your videos. I went back some time later w another set of rims and said, “I want these satin bronze” and didn’t say too much else lol they know what they’re doing so well that you don’t need to say much and they’ll give you more than you expected 👏
Straight love it 💯...but I live in South Carolina 😢... Anyways my car is 5x120.65 center bore 73.8....The aftermarket wheels are 5x120 center bore 74.10....some people say it'll work. What's your/yall opinion?
Im literally trying to do this right now. Have 5x112, need 5x120 for a BMW. Where did you get the inserts? Or do you remember the specs by chance ?? Thanks in advance
How about going from 5 to 4 lug? I have a set of original Borbet type A’s that this was done 30 years ago from 5 x120 to 4x108. Picked up a replacement wheel (same config) and all of a sudden people are scared to even attempt this now. Why?
Depends what the back side of the wheel looks like. Sometimes theres empty voids in between spokes. But usually it requires a lot of work, because the 6 lug isnt close to the 8 lug. It may require a lot of welding, of the old lugs, shaved flat so you work with a blank base, then drill out the lugs. In the end its aluminum, it can be welded, bent straight, whatever you need aslong as the work is done correct and clean it would be safe and strong as original.
@@lalaman68 Yeah, metal shavings are not rough or anything lol Put some metal shavings on the hood of your car and wipe them off like this dude is doing and them tell me it looks "unscathed"... 😂
@@xtype2006 so where are the scratches then in the end of the video? You're dodging the question lol the rim looks perfectly fine. I know people that have done this job at his shop and never seen complaints. So I'll take their word over yours lol. And even in your example, wiping it off with your hands would be perfectly fine 😂😂 Car paint is not that weak where metal shavings will chip off the paint

I'm experiencing the same problem. Nobody wants to do it. Probably for liability reasons?
Is it possible to do a 6 lug rim in to a 8 lug???

Where can I get this done at?
Union Rim Toronto
WHERE ARE YOU GUYS FROM
Toronto Ontario!
Hey I'm thinking about having this done to my rims but I live in Texas Do you guys have any shops in Austin or San Antonio that do this.
Unfortunately, none that I am aware of in Texas
So where's this shop and contact information please
Union Rim Toronto
So can you fill and drill 5x120 to 4x100 with a flat surface wheel back ?
RIP to the face of that wheel. Wheel shavings like that should never be allowed to touch the face of the wheel.
Location please
Lol the face of the rim looks unscathed by the end what are you on about? Pretty sure the professional knows what he's doing
