    Thank you for your words.I was just praying to God and I asked How can I better?
    I paused and I knew it wasn’t time for His response yet. Then I came across this.
    I want a peaceful home for my family. I want to learn to be better and not act so selfishly but with consideration in love. Unlearning the negative habits and stepping out of generational curses. I want my family to be better and to know what it is to live in a house of peace. We serve a mighty God and all things are possible through Christ who strengthens us. it is possible.
    Thank you for making this video.

      Hi Niara! You are at exactly in the right place for things to change in the right direction for your family, you have to start with a want to and you obviously have that! Yes, you are right, it is totally possible! When you don't know what to do or how to do that thing that you want to do, just move forward doing what you know is right in the sight of the Lord and it will all come into place! He will honor that!
      God bless and keep you!

    I'm 48 and been married for 28 years. I have 4 grown children. I have to say our over all our life and home has been pretty peaceful. Well in the last couple of years I took in my sisters children. They are 3 and 9 yrs old. They were raised so differently. We are Christians and my sister is not. The children were around some ungodly things. All they want to do is fight and holler at each other. My nerves are shot. Please pray that I can make this home peaceful again.

      Kim, You are in our prayers! I totally understand life being turned upside down from peaceful to "what has happened!" Make sure you take needed time (which I am sure is hard) to get alone with God. Find his peace. When our life was turned upside down several years ago for 3 years one of the things that was hardest I think was we wanted the peace we had been use to for so many years prior. It took a while to get first over the shock because we couldn't be proactive while in shock. Once we got past that stage of shock and might I had mourning for the peace we had lost, we could start to sort things out and see things a little clearer. One other thing, Ron and I had to come to terms that our life wasn't going to be the peaceful life we use to know. We had to turn to God and trust he would give us peace it was just going to be in a different. Once we came face to face with that, we also were able to enjoy the moments that were peaceful and not so. God has a plan Kim, Jeremiah 29:11 says "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Just always remember what may seem overwhelming right now, often holds the joys of the future. It is a lot of work what you and your husband have taken on but know God will strengthen you. God bless you!

    Someone showed up for supper twice this week! 😀 However, in accordance with your wise words, you can do it all well but there's always the other guy and their willingness to cooperate with the peace and communication or not. You can pray, you can be cheerful, you can have the meals ready on time, and it may never break through. Willfulness - the Lord will not cross. I have had to learn that sometimes you just have to do what is right even when you're the only one participating. The Lord has to be our husband in those situations and we have to find our joy in the doing for His sake - even if it means sitting at the table alone. I have had to find my happiness and joy in the service. It is rare that I get to enjoy the fruit of it in reciprocal relationship effort and responsibility.

    You know, God is so good! This morning, ironically with your well-timed video, there was NOT peace in our home. And it was because I popped my cork - something my children have really not witnessed before (Not that I'm always Mrs. Calm and Perfect, but this morning was dramatic). Coming from a dysfunctional childhood, I had determined to have that peaceful, loving, God-centered home, and by His grace, we have mostly been able to achieve that. But THIS morning my patience ran out with everyone and I blew it. Yes, my teenagers and I have kissed and made up, but I'm still very disappointed in myself. So your post this morning is of special encouragement to me today. Thank you for following His leading!

      Hi Debbie, We all have our moments. I have yet to meet the perfect person though I've known a few who thought they
      were :) It takes a great example to be able to hug and makeup. "I'm sorry" is hard for many to say, so don't be disappointed in yourself. In fact you should be proud of yourself (proud in a good way of course) you set a good example to your children especially dealing with the event in the same day. Real things happen, we have real reactions justified or not and when those things happen I believe the test is how we deal with it. Making up to our children is a very real and very good example! God bless!

    Very nice chat Lea! I can't believe I'm not supposed to roll my eyes because I've master it LOL I've learned to just quickly ask the Lord to take control of my actions and then get prepared for Him to act quickly because He does. On a different note I believe I once heard you say that wooden utensils or wood cutting blocks to not harbor bacteria and gave the reason why. If that was you could you elaborate a bit on that? Thank you for sharing with us!

    • @ArtisanAcre
      @ArtisanAcre  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Meloday, yes I have said that before. The long and the short of it is.....wood naturally has good bacteria in it so when bad bacteria is introduced to it from food, the good bacteria reacts like good bacteria does and overtakes the bad. However with plastic or stainless steel not having any natural bacteria on it, when bad bacteria is introduced it has no way to eliminate them except from being washed and sometimes this is not enough depending on the bacteria. Other research has shown that due to wood having pores, bacteria such as for salomenlla for example , sink down below the cutting surface into the pores. They can't thrive and eventually die off. The plastic cutting boards in this study showed that the salomenlla that was caught in the knife grooves on the board could not be cleaned out because of the lack of pores and natural bacteria did not die off. Neither hand washing nor machine washing showed to clean the bacteria out from the plastic completely. One last note, wooden barrels for cheese making shows a natural defense against bad bacteria. The same cheese done in stainless steel vats were contaminated from bacteria. Hope this answered your question :)

      Yes it did! I had read this somewhere years ago and could not remember where. Then wood started getting a bad rap with boards and utensils and I was thinking "well did they come up with new research" but I could not find anything. So thank you for getting back on this, I really appreciate it.....

    Since my son was 6 we dealt with extreme chaos in our home.. he was diagnosed with post traumatic stress bipolar and ADD. God constantly was dealing with my heart in it. My eex husband went to prison when my children were small and created a very uncovered environment for my children. I remarried when my son was 12 but even marrying a very Godly man still felt chaotic for my poor son. He is 15 and went to live with his biological dad in Jan of this year. Hardest thing I ever did was letting him go but I felt it was Gods will in it. He is mentally much more stable but has gained so much weight not sure how he will survive being 500lbs at 15. My heart cry out daily for him. It's weird though I literally have not experienced so much peace and calmness in my life. I stay close to Christ letting him deal with my own heart but trusting Him to care for my baby boy.. 😥
