42 year experience civil engineer checking in with you. Have done 7 golf courses - they’re interesting to work on because of the relatively large budgets. Nice job overall on these videos; photography is outstanding. Stay with it. Thanks.
There used to be the most beautiful trails in that area. In the autumn, it was like riding through a Cropsey or Moran painting - spectacular. It kills me to see all the overdevelopment. A good portion of that natural beauty is gone now, and the rest is going quick. Pathetic.
shapers are real dozer operators :) specialized skillz. A lot of the time they are independent contractors, other times they work for golf course specific companies.
What about the millions of yards of not only the specialty soil mixes for the Fairways, Tees and Greens but also the Sand mixes for the Greens and Sand Traps? Again those are all specialty mixes.
Some seem intent on pointing out the negative with GC development, but at least modern, high budget golf courses are bio-enviro engineered and managed. Some of the same people don’t recognize, or admit the millions of acres worldwide being stripped in mining operations to support many unnecessary modern conveniences, not to mention the lithium and other metals / minerals to produce the supposedly “Green” EV’s, Wind Turbines, Solar Panels, Electronics and their components / batteries, etc. My point is, in the big picture, golf courses may not be pristine nature preserves without impact, but they’re also not at the top of the Environmental Boogeyman List either.
100% Spot on! GC building and Management is far more Environmentally friendly than and lithium ion, nickel, copper strip mining for the phony green energy scam! I’m not against mining by any means especially energy cost effective coal but the amount of necessary minerals for EV’s, Solar Panels and Wind Turbines is far more damaging to the environment than any fossil fuels energy (which is all natural elements of the earth) or golf course construction. Better than a hideous looking parking garage.
Golf is actually the most developed, and hardest sport in the entire world. Literally the hardest game on earth. When professional sports athletes retire they retire to play golf, a sport which they will probably never even approach the skill level of golf pro's evwn though they are some of the best athletes of all time. Michael Jordan is one that comes to mind. When people say golf is boring, it tells me they never played it. There is no other sports challenge greater than golf on the planet
@@chrism4008Exactly golf is also one of the oldest sports in existence worldwide. Some of the oldest courses built in the late 1800’s are located in Scotland and Ireland.
@@chrism4008technically boxing, hockey, football, and basketball are the top 4 hardest sports in world standings, while golf is below kayaking. So while yes it can have challenges , it’s not difficult, it’s practice! If you can play while plastered, smoking, and be overweight it’s not that bad 😂
@@bigdog8815you clearly are ignorant on the history of sports especially golf. Golf dates back to February 26, 1297 by the Dutch and the very first golf course built was St. Andrews Links in the 15th Century. Technically golf is the oldest sport in existence today. It also is a game of strategy, mathematics, science and skills, no two courses are the same nor play the same on any given day due to weather conditions which can change within minutes at the beginning, during and end of one game play. Also course management involves high level of turf agronomy, science, mathematics and finance knowledge especially when Green Construction exceeds $200,000 plus to build, multi million dollar irrigation systems and pump stations, gps that coordinates with the irrigation system weather stations and greens management systems along with high technology golf course drainage systems that are completely different all over the course from the fairways, greens, tees, sand traps, roughs etc.
All that nature destroyed and all those animals displaced...just so rich and snooty people can chase a little white...or orange...or yellow.....ball. Cool to see the machines, but sucks for nature.
Can’t wait to see what the finished course looks like

Would it be possible to message you some questions about your experience on the course projects?
Nice video, Aaron. Thanks for sharing.
What kind of drilling depth are they going to need for the courses water requirements and how many holding lakes will be built?
What a stunning view, But the machines are cooler.
The BuildWitt Gang the most notorious Outlaw camera crew
That will be a beautifull course
Sick moto track on the closing shot
maybe you could go back in a year when their is lots of shaping, drainage etc happening? Thanks
great idea Peter we probably will!

As someone who grew up here, it’s heartbreaking.
Would love to see more golf course building stuff
Cool view ❤
Great video!!! Pretty high course!! Hope you come to visit this place closer to finishing??
How do you pay for all this stuff?
How does the 374 have a kiewit bucket 😂
Are the shapers a different company, or a different division of that company because i believe , thats a specialty skill

@@godsdozerreal dozer operators? Anyone who’s an actual dozerhand can shape.
Exactly and the two top golf course construction firms are Wadsworth GC out of Illinois and Landscapes Unlimited out of Nebraska.
Ahh i see i wasnt sure how that worked

You know the old saying: "For playing golf you need some balls." 😁😁😁
Dude I live in vernal and my dads friend is brett haslem the owner of bhi 😂
You think Tiger would be happy with his new golf course.
Yes he dising. It so he should
Why do they need to mulch the trees if dozers are coming and pushing the trees anyways? Why not just push everything a once?

Now i am even more happy that I moved out of PC, that would have been 5 miles from my house.
It's definitely a conundrum I really enjoy watching the massive machines but knocking out natural hills sucks ✌️👍👏
You need to get a Netflix show

All these celebrities need to go back to California.
What a waste of precious land
No we need a new golf course
