The two of you arrived ten days after I reached the Cathedral! When I was there there was a chess tournament sponsored by the Leon Ayuntamiento for young school children right next to the Cathedral. A team of four young girls Molly's age won the two day tournament. Loved Leon and continue to enjoy watching your blog.
I missed the Museo S.Marcos this year, but will definitely visit in 2024. What a nice luxury a stay at the Parador! The meals looked fabulous Stacey and Molly!
We walk into León tomorrow Stacy. Not staying at the Parador however. We are looking forward to it and staying an extra day to take in some city sights. Cat count 46!
Cathy, I don’t think that we did, but I’m not sure. We did do some exploring that evening, but I’m not aware that we went to that barrio. We were tired.
Leon is amazing! But I have to admit, seeing the storks walking on the ground at the beginning of your day is something I have never seen. I am not sure I would have known that is what those birds were!
Yes Stacey, May 12th-17th this year, it's mountainous and well supported. I'm a slow 70 year old lady who walks a pilgrimage on my own. Efren Gonzalez has done it too and shows his videos. Buen camino
Did you see the immense Brown trout in the River? They are the size of salmon. Downstream there are pools of smolts that look like watergrass. They are in the milions
Buen Camino Stacey. ULTREIA !!!

Thank you. We also loved Leon. It was our favorite of the Camino cities.

It was a nice luxury break, and it was hard to leave the AC, but it did feel a little strange to be around so many clean, fancy people at the parador.
Thank you for pointing out the turn off to Oviedo. It was very helpful. Enjoying your videos. Stay safe and healthy. Peace
I look forward to walking that route from Leon to Oviedo at some point. I hear it is beautiful. Have you walked it?
@@staceyandmollypilgrims I plan to walk from Leon to Oviedo to Aviles in June 2023. You too are doing great. Loving your videos.
@@FrScottHikes Have you walked the Primitivo?
@@staceyandmollypilgrims oh ya, it was my first Camino. I started in Irun. 😊
@@FrScottHikes Ours, too. We started in Santillana Del Mar. We were time-limited last year.
The cathedral is breathtaking!
Can’t wait! ❤
That was our hottest day. Take lots of water.

Leon looks amazing!!! Did you 'experience' the Barrio Humedo area in the evening??? So enjoy following you both on your venture.

hi! Loving your Videos! Do you have to book with the parador directly to get a Pilgrims rate?
I think so. We booked it on the website.

We had been seeing storks for two weeks, so we knew them well at that point.
Signs to Oviedo....That's the beginning of the 'San Salvador ' 6 day walk....
Yes. I definitely want to do that one. It looks beautiful. Have you done it?

We didn’t see them there, but they were huge coming out of Comillas in the Norte.
what book are you referring to?
My Camino Guidebook. I'll send a picture of the cover tomorrow.
And the Holy Grail?
