There's been a trend in recent years of Best Actor and/or Actress going to someone who's not in a Best Picture contender. It's the Actor + Hair/Makeup package. Jessica Chastain won for Eyes of Tammy Faye - which was nominated in Actress and Hair/Makeup, winning both. Brenden Fraser won for The Whale, which wasn't in Best Picture either. It was only nominated in Actor, supporting actress and Hair/Makeup... winning 2 of those 3. So this makes things interesting with Angelina Jolie being nominated for Maria while they basically ignore that film for any other awards... except now it shows up in Costumes. I'm wondering if Maria will show up at the Oscars in those two categories... and if so, is that the new Actress + Hair/Makeup winning combo?

Hard to predict what the oscars will do. I guarantee you no one will get their predictions exactly right. So disappointed no June Squibb.
