The worst thing about the current crypto Visa cards are the low daily spend limits of around 5-15k and monthly and yearly spending caps. If you are going to do this properly, remove the limits and caps . If you have the funds, you should be able to spend whatever you want. Fix this, and you would be successful.

propose to make a stress test for tangem architechture. Switch off all servers on tangem side to show community they still have access to they assets...and app is still working correctly, basic functions at least...

I would assume you would have just like VISA card, a card. After all, you can't just whip out the trezor and tap it. So, your hardware wallet (tangem, trezor, etc.) will somehow (through an app) connect to your tangem pay card, and that card is the one that gets tapped to pay.

Storage of value + transaction of value makes sense. Just don't let VISA (government) put control and fees on this hardware otherwise we lose the value of using Tangem. Actually, users should vote on the features, not Tangem's / Visa's management.

Millions of people use centralized exchanges and require KYC processes, so there must be a market for this. We as a cold wallet hardware storage provider have no KYC for digital asset storage and will always keep it that way. However, Tangem Pay is a completely separate product which requires some element of a KYC process to ensure that the product is being used in retail scenarios in a safe secure manner. However, the exact requirements and what this will all look like will be shared closer to our release date. Don't worry, Tangem Wallet and other products will remain always KYC free for digital asset storage!
The whole idea of Crypto and mainly BTC is DEcentralization, this is the worst thing IMO. Visa is not required to facilitate as a 3rd party to me using crypto. this is simply Centralization/Control repackaged

I'm really excited and eager to try out Tangem Pay, and it would be so great to finally order my own Tangem Visa payment card! :) I have a question, though: does this new Tangem Pay work with the 2019 Tangem card?
Trying to translate into simple terms: So when a person goes to buy that cup of coffee, at purchase, the Tangem app converts the given crypto to fiat, and then the Visa end of the equation accesses and spends that fiat for the cup of coffee?

Can I spend through Tangem at any Visa-accepted POS without KYC? Do my crypto assets need to be moved to the Tangem wallet, or can I also spend from my CEX and decentralized wallets like MetaMask in order to use my crypto in real life? Which crypto assets are supported for spending in real life?
Good question. Tangem Pay will be with a brand new chip which will allow for use at POS terminals correct. It will also be able to be used by anyone, not just those in the Tangem Ecosystem - so be you from Ledger, Trezor, etc, you'd be able to utilize Tangem Pay at any point. We'd love to share more on the features which will make this product shine, including information as to KYC requirements and which assets will be supported. We will be sharing all of those closer to the release date which our estimate is Q4 end of year, closer to Q1 2025. Again, we'd love to share more now, but you'll just have to wait and see!

Hello hello, no. Tangem pay will be a new separate product. To be able to pay at POS terminals the Tangem Pay card will have hardware that isn't on the 2.0 cards.

When you have a Ring, it comes with 2 cards in the pack - up to you what you want to do, you can either reset everything and start from scratch, or just have a new wallet!

Correct me if I am wrong, is Tangem Pay is a new mobile app that connect to a hardware wallet such as Tangem card, Ledger or Trezor to make payment over the counter accepting VISA? If so, what new cold wallet chip are you referring to?
I would assume you would have just like VISA card, a card. After all, you can't just whip out the trezor and tap it. So, your hardware wallet (tangem, trezor, etc.) will somehow (through an app) connect to your tangem pay card, and that card is the one that gets tapped to pay.

When is the ring shipping??
Should be very soon, they are currently out of production now, and heading over to our logistics centres. So should be out to everyone soon!
When can we expect this to be released to the market? And what kind of fees can we expect using the card? If buying a €2.50 coffee involves an additional €0.90 fee, then that's a problem.

Just an easy off ramp for cash if you need it. I would like the option but would likely never use it.
I would like to have 2 features. 1. For the user to be able to freeze/unfreeze the Visa card in app anytime (this is a popular security feature in current debit/CC cards which is essential for me). 2. To have a daily account which the Visa card can access, but a long-term account which stores your crypto but the Visa card cannot access for security reasons. The user can transfer the crypto to the daily account easily when needed. Thanks!

We don't have plans for that, as a cold crypto wallet, having our own token would have very limited token utility and it isn't something we are looking to do to preserve our decentralized nature. But thanks for the idea, a lot of people do ask about this!

Storage of value + transaction of value makes sense. Just don't let VISA (government) put control and fees on this hardware otherwise we lose the value of using Tangem. Actually, users should vote on the features, not Tangem's / Visa's management.

I get the feeling this will require KYC. If so it's dead in the water.
Millions of people use centralized exchanges and require KYC processes, so there must be a market for this. We as a cold wallet hardware storage provider have no KYC for digital asset storage and will always keep it that way. However, Tangem Pay is a completely separate product which requires some element of a KYC process to ensure that the product is being used in retail scenarios in a safe secure manner. However, the exact requirements and what this will all look like will be shared closer to our release date. Don't worry, Tangem Wallet and other products will remain always KYC free for digital asset storage!

The whole idea of Crypto and mainly BTC is DEcentralization, this is the worst thing IMO. Visa is not required to facilitate as a 3rd party to me using crypto. this is simply Centralization/Control repackaged
Hey, Tangem Pay will be a separate product. Meaning that if you don't want to go anywhere near it, you don't have to. Tangem Pay users won't have their wallets "compromised" as it will remain fully anonymous.
