This is honestly the best effort anyone could give. It's impossible to fix the timeline and this video is filled with a lot of faith and reaches but that's not the fault of the uploader. It's very well done.

The error with the Beast has another explanation: in X-2, the scene where Cerebro kills mutants originally lasted longer. We were shown Gambit (from the back) and the Beast (the same actor as on TV) and he began to turn blue. The impact of Cerebro "shattered" Hank's DNA and the serum that he had been taking all these years, after the incident, stopped working. That's why in "The Last Stand" he walks all the time in blue and reacts so surprised to his human hand - Hank thought that he would never see his human form again.

That is an interesting thing I did know. I'm glad they deleted that or it would have made this more complicated lol

Awesome! You should make a playlist with all continuity videos.

Mutants were already known by the 70’s in the original timeline. A promotional website made around the time of DOFP’s release called 25 Moments shows that Nixon publicly announced the Sentinel program by 1973.
You could say it’s not canon because it’s not in the film, but neither is the director’s commentary you used to explain Charles’s resurrection.

In classic comics, Charles used prosthetic legs to allow him to walk. However, they only lasted a couple of hours, so Charles only used them as a last resort. I like this version better - that the Beast invented the same prosthetics in the movie universe.

But they explained in movie that it wasn't prosthetics, it was his syrum.

You can actually write off a young storm in xmen origins by being someone that looks similar to storm so the audience assumes it's storm. As for Moira not aging, it's a stretch but perhaps in the movies she has a mutation that allows her to age slowly.

    • @Jake-dm4rk
      @Jake-dm4rk  ปีที่แล้ว

I know in the comics she can use resurrection to relive life after death with her old memories intact. I tried to spin that here but I couldn't make it work.

    • @Jake-dm4rk
      @Jake-dm4rk  ปีที่แล้ว

Plus I feel like storms look is too specific to say it's someone similar.

@@Jake-dm4rk I suppose it would need to be explained why all of the characters are ageing more slowly when it comes to the post First Class films. I think Charles and Eric would be in their 60s by the 1990s. Perhaps it might have something to do with Mystique as she is officially confirmed to age more slowly. If you take the Fist Class series in isolation, you could simply say that mutants age more slowly, but then it would have to be reconciled with the original timeline films. I'm getting too far ahead. Whatever happens I'm sure you'll come up with something great. It would be great if we had a tv-series or something that explains these gaps. I'm looking forward to watching your entire series then re-watching the films in chronological order with a new perspective.

@Joe Lawson oh I definitely plan on covering the age issue. I'm glad you enjoy and I hope to get to the rest of the series soon!

      The continuity so far:
      19th Century
As a young boy James Howlett has fallen ill due to the manifestation of his mutation. Victor Creed’s father (let’s call him Thomas Logan) attempts to break into the house and murders Jame’s father, John Howlett. In a moment of rage for the death of his beloved father, the cycle of Jame’s mutation completes itself and he kills Thomas Logan, but not before he tells him that John was not his father. Victor and James are brothers. They leave the mansion and become outlaws. James changes his name to Logan, after his biological father. They join the army and fight in every war throughout history.
      1944
A twelve year old Erik Lehnsheer and his mother are taken to a concentration camp. Unable to bear being separated from his mother, the boy bends a metal gate. Upon learning that he is a mutant he is taken to Sabastian Shaw. When Erik fails to re-summon his mutation, Shaw murders his mother. Erik becomes his prisoner and is experimented on for five years. Meanwhile, Charles Xavier’s family adopt a street urchin named Raven who ran away from home after her family tried to kill her. They also have a third sibling P. Xavier, Charle’s twin. It is likely that P. Xavier was comatose from a young age and so Raven never had the opportunity to meet him. While Charles academically excels, Raven struggles to adapt to her new life, owing to the fact that she has to constantly hide her mutation. This would make life at school difficult. Cain Marko later becomes Charles and Raven’s step-brother.
      1945
It is currently unknown as to why Logan is in Japan during World War II. But during this time he saved the life of Ichirō Yashida. Yashida offers Logan his sword in return, but Logan tells him to keep the sword safe for him until he can return it. Shortly after his, Logan would return to America to reunite with his brother, Victor.
      1949
At the age of seventeen Charles is about to take his exams in order to attend Oxford University. During this year, while Raven is not present, he encounters Erik being held captive. Charles helps Erik escape, but then erases his memory in order to keep himself and his family safe, lest Erik be recaptured. Erik remembers his escape, but the boy who liberated him is no more than a shadow in his mind. Charles and Shaw never interacted with one another during the rescue. Shortly after this Charles would excel in his exams and be accepted to study Genetic Mutation at Oxford University.
      1950s - 1960s
Charles graduates from Oxford University with a First Class (see what I did there) degree in Genetic Mutation. He would then go on to study his Masters Degree and a PhD in another subject, before becoming an academic at another university before returning to Oxford to study his PhD in genetic mutation. I’m adding this additional detail, because in the UK to earn the title of Professor he would spend years teaching and doing academic research in order to earn the title. Raven attempts to live a normal life in order to hide her mutation.
      1962: X-Men First Class
Charles graduates from Oxford University with a PhD in Genetic Mutation. In addition to this, he earns the title of Professor. At the after party of the graduation ceremony, Moira Mactaggert requests his help in finding a mutant named Sabastian Shaw. Charles mentions that this is very important to him. This fits in perfectly with the theory that he rescued Erik thirteen years earlier, as he has heard the name before. During their first attempt to capture Shaw, Charles meets Erik for the second time and remembers him, but does not return his memories. Erik and the audience are under the impression that Charles knows his name due to telepathy, but in reality this is due to the fact that they have met one another before. It is revealed that Hank Mccoy built cerebro with the knowledge that telepathic mutants exist and the hope they would meet one who would be able to use it. The original prototype was destroyed when Shaw attacked the CIA base. Later in the film they go to the X-Mansion to train. During the week they were training, Hank, Charles and Erik rebuilt it together while Raven is present. They defeat Shaw, but Erik and Raven leave Charles paralyzed on the beach. Shortly after this Professor Charles Xavier opens Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. In order to keep himself and his students safe from the CIA he erases Moria’s memories of their time together.
      1963 - 1973
Charles’ students are drafted into the military, and his ambitions for the school are in ruins. Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters is closed and Charles quickly falls into deep depression and drug addiction. Hank has developed a serum that allows him to hide his mutation, nearly perfecting what he set out to do eleven years earlier. The serum allows Charles to walk, but he becomes an addict. Due to the excessive amount he takes, his telepathy can no longer function. Meanwhile Eric is falsely imprisoned for a murder he did not commit. Emma Frost had two children during this time period, Silver Fox and Emma jr. She was taken for experimentation and killed shortly after the birth of her second child. In 1973, Raven liberates several mutants, including Alex Summers, from Strikers mutant program. She then assassinates Bolivar Trask, but is captured and experimented on by Striker, altering her voice.
      1973 - 1979: X-Men Origins Wolverine
Logan and Victor are about to be executed for Victor’s crimes. Due to their ability to heal this is, of course, impossible and so they are kept in captivity. This mutation peaks Striker’s interest and they are recruited into his program, alongside Wade Wilson. Logan leaves the program. Striker has captured Emma Jr and is forcing Silver Fox to work for him. She works undercover as a school teacher, and begins a romantic relationship with Logan, allowing Striker to keep an eye on him. Although aesthetically Logan’s escape after having the adamantium applied to his body is vastly different, the overall continuity is the same. We are only getting flashes of Logan’s memory in X-Men United. He matches his own memories to Lady Deathstrike’s room, and many of the flashes we see in X-2 may have happened off screen in origins. Logan loses some, but not all, of his memories due to being shot with an adamantium bullet. At the end of the film Striker is captured and would be put on trial for murder, however, he is able to use the mind control serum and other resources to clear his name. During this period, Charles is rehabilitated and takes only the required amount of serum to allow him to walk. Through currently unknown circumstances, Erik is released from prison and the two reconcile. Charles rescues the mutants that Striker took prisoner. By the following academic year, Scott Summers would enroll at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters.
      1980 - 1993
Ororo Munroe (Storm) enrolls at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters and Charles and Eric meet Jean Grey to offer her a place at the school. The academic year would begin in September, 1980. Jean would earn her doctorate while Scott and Storm would become tutors at the school during the day while engaging in their vigilante activities, when necessary, by night. At some point, Charles mentioned Moira’s name for his team the X-Men in class and it caught on amongst the students. Charles also takes in Striker’s son during this time. This causes Raven to turn against him entirely to the point of pure hatred, she would likely be an outlaw during this period, having escaped from Striker. During this period Logan goes to Tokyo, attracting the attention of one of Yashida’s employees.
      1994 - 1999: X-Men Trilogy
Logan finds work as a cage-fighter, and has developed a drug addiction. He meets Rogue on the road, and the two are attacked by Victor Creed. Erik has enhanced his mutation, making him more animalistic. Blonde hair is often darker when it’s cut short. Even with Logan’s memory loss they are both aware of each other, having run into each other on a number of occasions over the years, but do not bring this up during the events of the film. Logan and Rogue are rescued by Storm and Scott and are taken to the X-Mansion. He informs Logan who Sabertooth (Victor) is but chooses not to mention that they are brothers so as not to cause further conflict between Scott and Logan. Charles tells Logan that he met Erik when he was seventeen, referring to their brief encounter when Charles erased his memories before they met a second time. Charles remembers Erik’s helmet from 1962, but there is no need to go into an entire explanation about it other than what it does. I might also add as an additional detail, that when he’s explaining to Logan that he’s somehow managed to shield himself from cerebro, he wouldn’t necessarily know that Erik still has the helmet. In the original timeline Charles likely never saw it again for thirty-two years.
In The Last Stand Hank stopped using the serum in order to better represent mutants. Charles is killed by Dark Phoenix but transfers his consciousness to his comatose brother P. Xavier who is being taken care of by Moria. In the new body Charles is still disabled due to muscle atrophy. In 2013 one of Yashida’s employees, Yukio, meets up with Logan and persuades him to go with her to Tokyo to meet Yashida. Logan has vague memories of Yashida, but only flashes. It’s more like he’s responding to Yashida.
Looking forward to Days of Future Past.

There's another issue with cerebro. In X-Men 2, Stryker needed Magneto's knowledge on how to build his own cerebo so he could brainwash Xavier into killing the mutant race with it. This doesn't make sense in light of First Class because cerebro was already built before Xavier met Magneto. Then, you have Days of Future Past showing us that Magneto was locked up for the JFK assassination so this ruins Stryker's plot in X2 because there's no way Stryker would learn how to build cerebro since Magneto never built it all.
Also, when Xavier said he met Magneto when he was 17, that could've happened at the same time Magneto said he first saw the statue of liberty in 1949. I doubt that Xavier would tamper with Magneto's memories because if he had, he would've erased his memory of Sebastian Shaw thereby stopping him from going on his revenge quest.
There are other missed opportunities in First Class like:
    - the family feud between Xavier and Juggernaut.
-Mystique hooking up with Azazel resulting in Nightcrawler being in the X-Men movies.
-Magneto hooking up with Quicksilver's mom and getting a glimpse of both Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch as kids (before the MCU got a hold of them).

Well I explained when the perfect time they could have rebuilt cerebro, during the training montage at the mansion.
Then the memory thing could still working because charles can erase specific memories, leaving the shaw memory intact. It's not like he'd erase Erik's entire life memory.

There's one other thing you didn't explain. How did Magneto originally escape from the plastic prison underneath the pentagon??? Who helped him escape?? There's no way Magneto could be with Charles when they meet Jean Grey in X-men 3's flashback scene if he was locked up all this time.
