This is the most complex #EnginEEringTheJigsaw episode that we've made so far at the foundation-level, so we want to know whether the level is OK for you? Please let us know if it's too much, too little or if we got the "Goldilocks Spot"?
Really lucid and informative. Starts right from basics and catches up to the nuances intricacies.

This series of videos is really interesting to really understand how modern vehicles works. I'm waiting for the next video. Greetings from Guadalajara, Mexico.
Hi, Thanks for this great vid. I have a question, in 08:05 you mention about over the air flashing is possible during ecu running, where is this new application flashed to? Is it flashed in flash memory that is known as NVM?
F7 has changed my way of thinking , thank you verymuch, but I feel that OTA update is similar to an android mobile phone or a tablet software update with many functional changes. Is android OS recommended for Automotive applications ??
Yes, OTA update for an ECU (when using redundant storage) is very similar to a smartphone operating system update. Android OS may be used in some limited cases (such as infotainment systems); however, it is not suited to the hard real-time control that ECUs perform. Use of a given platform should be the result of careful decisions and analysis about the level of performance and type of behaviour(s) needed to meet security and safety concerns, and other requirements.

In short: Yes, provided that a redundant memory concept is used (inter alia A/B swap).
Thank you Vector for this vedio
Thank you for this video, very usefull
FBL needs to handle Cybersecurity concerns, right?
Excellent presentation. would have been more complete if some brief introduction of fbl for OS/Posix .
Very well explained
How about TPM kind of stuff to be used in the ECU?
