Those comparisons are true like the open alpha dark peasant was able to kill every living being in its way while being left untouched while the closed alpha dark peasant wanted to make people get dizzy until the opponents get knocked out but by the conflict, it's probably the opposite and the opponents would die. Now, the dark peasant has a bunch of black gloves all over his body and the dark peasant is nearly INVINCIBLE because it has so much health like when enemies attack him, the gloves protect him and when he is attacked by arrows, the gloves take the arrows by letting the arrows hit the gloves, so he is bulletproof, but when it comes to melee, he might get hit if the melee opponent is strong enough but it will only make him bleed like if you put the dark peasant against 100 or more super boxers, it will barely damage him(no,seriously),and if the opponent is big like a giant, he uses his emergency melee attack where a burst comes out from his body and everyine gets pushed back. So the dark peasant is still the strongest unit in tabs or of all time.

Early Access Super Peasant), Early Access Dark Peasant, and Saitama. I found all of this out in the video, SAITAMA vs EVERY FACTION (legacy) ( just did dat so no copyright stuf, if thats not how copyright works i'm probably going to r/therewasanattempt) Basically Super Peasant can beat Dark Peasant, Dark Peasant can beat Saitama, and Saitama can beat Super Peasant.

i like the attacks of the old Dark Peasant better with his spikes. However it is clear that the flying mechanic is needed for him not to be owned by ranged

Well the real reason to go for flying is to stop him getting stuck on spikes of his own but maybe give him the ability to remove the spikes by touching them and or make it so he sucks in units near him

Take a look into the game folders (if it's possible). There might be a way to mod the old dark peasant into the game.
I've never looked in the files myself but I reckon it'd be possible.
I'd happily take a look into the old version, see what needs to be brought over and changed (probably. I'm still newish to programming). But I won't know if they've changed any folders in the new version, which may stuff things up.

I couldn't find much. Most of it is in files I can't open. I couldn't find anything in any other folders than my games file. I don't think there will be a way of doing so. Perhaps landfall games could do something?
Captain Natjo it would be too hard because it doesnt really allow you to unles you can copy a code somewhere and create a file for it that has the same type as the new one.

The new DP is so insanely OP. I tested him against all characters where i would put up to 50 of each. The only ones that were guaranteed to win against him and didnt need luck was 3 M16's and 10 Beamers. And thats only if they are placed far away. Super Peasants couldnt defeat him in a fair manner and only won because he would fall of the edge. So yeh. Really OP

The new dark peasant is a weapon of both mass destruction and distraction. He played mindgames with the Napoleon faction units until they friendly fired themselves in the process, giving him the edge to finish them off

I say keep both Dark Peasants, but change the name of the new one to something like Super Dark Peasant or Dark Super Peasant.

The new dark peasant is just a gravity super peasant.
I think its boring, and needs something new.
My suggestion:
Old dark peasant attacks slower but attacks any unit, not 1 over and over, and deals more damage. Spikes retract into the ground after 4 seconds. This is called the Underlord and costs 4000, and has a lot of health (less than now though)
New dark peasant becomes a faster flyer with a larger pull radius but less pull strength. He is called the wraith. He also has no collisions and deals damage by flying through things, but has low hp. He also costs 4000.
I personally feel adding really strong units that cost a ton are just not an addition that means something, but more diverse, cheaper units (even though 4000 is the most expensive besides the superpeasant and dark peasant anyways) is better because then they actually have to be balanced and have thought put into them.
I also think the super peasant should be changed, namely so he can take very few hits before falling.
We can have a Dark Peasant A and B.
I personally think that they (Landfall) need to update the Super Peasant again. I know he's really strong now, compared to before, but the new Dark Peasant (or "Dark Super Peasant") still curb stomps him. Since he's so "super," he should have more abilities than just flying around real fast and dealing decent damage. I think the Super Peasant should be OP, not the Dark Peasant.
Both need to be nerfed, the dark peasant in hp (down to 2000) and the superpeasant as well, but more of a general nerf for him.

They could change the new or old Dark Peasant's name to something else. Then they could have both units in it.
I think the new dark peasant's powers are more neon faction-oriented when it could be so much more unique. For 20,000, the troop shouldn't just be a flying washing machine with 100,000 health, it should have more "dark" powers like the old one. I know the game is in alpha, but I hope Landfall sees that the best troop in the game should have its powers be the thing that make it powerful, not its absurd amount of health.

Yes, they're Roman shields, but the Greeks (particularly the Macedonians) were famous for a formation called the Macedonian Phalanx, which consisted of infantry equipped with 6 metre long (18 feet) pikes. And yes, the Greeks did actually use the ballista. In addition, the main infantry force on a Greek battlefield was the hoplite (pronounced "hop-lit-ay"), a soldier equipped with a spear and shield.
The Romans, by contrast, were famous for using tightly compacted formations of heavy infantry carrying large, square shields and short swords. The Romans never really used spears in large numbers, as they were at a disadvantage against infantry (the spear was originally designed to combat cavalry, hence the long reach. Infantry, particularly lightly armoured infantry, could get inside the reach of a spear, rendering the spear useless, while a sword could be used to hit the enemy with the pommel (the bottom bit, below the handle) in close quarters.
The standard Roman tactic was to advance to close quarters and deny the enemy room to manoeuvre. Obviously this was incompatible with the spear, so they used short swords instead, stabbing at what little of the enemy they could see through the gaps between their own shields. Spears were used (alongside slingers and other ranged forces) to protect the vulnerable flanks and rear of the formation (the shields only protected the front and top of the troops) against cavalry and light infantry.

In my opinion, the old DP is better than the new DP due to a few reasons:
1. He creates groundspikes, which are cool (you know it's a lot cooler than than two floating will-o'-wisp balls).
2. He has that dark aura in the ground around him.
3. New DP is overpowered.
Also, new DP has a tendency to fly towards the edge of the battlefield, taking with him countless adversaries to a plummeting death. And that kills the joy.
So, in conclusion, I feel the old DP is better because he's more fun and a lot cooler.
