Great idea with the challenge. However a true mechanic will use any part that they have as long as it fits.
Hey ghost, I have a challenge, 20k junkyard repair, using mostly parts found at the junkyard. You can repair parts. But no buying bigger parts new, find the big parts at the junkyard. This should be interesting, I'd like to see this Happen next episode

i think you should change the price system, i think you should pick any car (price doesn't matter) and only do $5000 worth of parts to fix or make the car run better so it can still technically be called the $5000 junkyard challenge.

They’re too dumb to realise we’re not as dumb as they are. They’re just cheating on their own life. The makers watch the internet too and all the cheating flaws have been removed from the new product. These vids are irrelevant now. You’re vid makers are HAS BEENS! ghost you should fully restore the Gasser.
People have gone way beyond making objects look brand new. It takes more skill and knowledge to get rust right on a relic model. You don’t fall in love with an unused car. Buy jewellery if you want non rusty, non used objects.

i dont normally comment much on videos but i see this challenges but no one ever doing something i did take a junk car rusted out with a motor with almost all its parts and make the rusted motor run now thats a challenge without replacing eevrything on the engine to keep it junk i did it for fun i wish i could have recorded but i couldnt
