stopped in when i was younger with some friends that knew of the place, probably late 70`s and was always impressed with the rattlesnake hide up high on the back bar wall. it is 7 or 8 ft. long and a stick of rattles maybe 22 or so, you gotta see it. i always remembered that and told people through the years about it. prairie rattlers only get about 4 ft. long out here and i grew up in Wisconsin where the timber rattlers can get 6 ft. or longer, so i think this one is from back East somewhere. i had a Dr. follow up appt. in 2014 in Sheridan and after that i drove around to see if i could find it. sure enough i spied the sign and stopped in. had a couple, three cans of Hamms beer while talking to the morning bar tender, Monty Bushmaster, i believe that was his name. seemed like a good western name. he said he grew up in Belle Fourche S.D. i left and drove back to Gillette. fun to see the video, you can spot the snake skin at 0.14 sec. into this video, up behind the bar.
