Rather ASMR. I much prefer his slower, gentle approach. Great skills too. I'm going to make this tonight for my Korean-obsessed 12 year old. So far I've only made the cylinder-shaped ones. Thanks so much.

Actually it dawned on me, this is very similar to our Gefillte Fish.
Btw., I made these, and gave some to the girls in the Korean Market, who said that they were amazing. 아주 맛있는 😊
I never tasted store bought ones, as I keep kosher.
I added toasted seaweed, Gochugaru, fish sauce, Agave syrup, sesame oil and MSG to the mixture. It's to die for 😆

I have a friend who does ghe street food versiinband they use tge whole egg. It gives his a richer flavor. Without the yolk it seems to be misding thatctaste element. It isxa matter of taste really. The version without the yolk is slighyly bland in flavor for me. But if you use the whites only save the yolks abd add 1 yolk per whole egg when making egg rolled omelets for a richer tasting omelet.
You can add some spices to taste. I know some whobaddca touch of smoked paprika or turmeric.
I know some who add flat parsley leaves.
The pieces from cutting it straight use them in any chicken or vegetable stock with some traditional fish cake soup ingredients.
Some street food soup with the fishcakes and the tiny strips of fish cakes in it is usually these end pieces that are not straight cut into tiny straps.
