Hi, I saw you share this in a response to a question on Quora about the stress levels in Korea. This is really informative and a very respectful interview. thank you for sharing and opening my eyes to this issue.

Hi Camile thanks so much for watching our videos. Yes, "prostitution" has a non-neutral connotation. "Adult sex industry" is a more neutral word. We at Borderless News Online don't judge anyone. Women in this industry got into it because they have serious problems and they felt they had no other way to support their families. In this particular interview. Jin Hee needs to pay her elderly mother's medical bills, which are quite expensive. Many people around the world -- even Koreans -- only see what Korea's government and tourism industry wants them to see. The big buildings, the k-pop, the glamorous actors and actresses, etc. And of course those things are great. But there are still a lot of people in Korea like Jin Hee who, for one reason or another, didn't have opportunities and found themselves in dire circumstances. If you travel outside of Seoul to more rural areas, you'll see a lot of people who've been left behind. Thank you so much for watching and please continue to comment. Please also invite others to watch and comment.
      Best regards,
      Borderless News Online

@@borderlessnewsonline8843 I believe camille caumont has a point. Using terms such as "Adult sex industry" and "sex worker" instead of "prostitution" implies that it is actually a normal job these women are forced to do, which of course isn't true. The terms you use with good intentions actually normalize the industry rather than saying what it is, prostitution and rape.

There are so many places, even in normal apartments, Let me say this, if you go anywhere in seoul, within 5 mins of walking, you can buy sex. No matter where you are, there are place to buy sex.
