Your Cantonese is getting better and better!!!! A little reminder is that we dont say 土豆 in Hong Kong, it’s a mainland saying, we call potatoes as 薯仔 (spoken language) and 馬鈴薯 (written form) gayau!!!!🥰🥰

      佢應該唔識睇中國字如土豆,薯仔,馬鈴薯喲。

Hi Grace! You never cease to amaze me! I’m at least twice your age, born in HK speaking Cantonese, grew up in the US - and I’m learning Cantonese from you - a non-Chinese teenager who taught herself the language!
Your mom seems so sweet. Her accent is beautiful. Is she Nigerian?
Looks delicious! I’m dying to eat all that now!

I just think it’s so amazing how much Cantonese you know and how you are sharing your love for hk things with your mom. Thank you for posting.

You are such a sweet girl and super talented.👍👍
It'd taste even better if it's eaten with plain white rice/steamed white rice.
Potato in Cantonese is pronuncd as: she zai.
'To dou' is more of a written form and is said in Mandarin and other dialects.

Very cool! Not in UK, but would use the discount code if so. A couple fun ideas for future ideas -- interview with your cantonese teacher about his story to the UK? Interview or fun discussion with Cantonese people in your class (if there exists any)?
