With plays like that, the line between a “great play” and a “bad play” is very thin. It’s worked many times, and at times it hasn’t.
The same thing applies to the Tony Romo botched snap a while back. Had he actually reached the end zone, it would be in the same highlights as Steve Young’s TD. But we look at is as a terrible play (to end the game with a L, if I’m correct).
All that is the reason I love this game - the chaotic element.
But, forgetting all that, because no one asked me what I though, you’re absolutely right. The play looks a whole lot like the Seahawks and Patriots interception - it’s the first thing that came to mind.

Their defense played well in the passing game, but they got destroyed in the run game. Also, Aaron Rodgers didn’t play that well. He was playing against the worst secondary in the league (4 injured eagles starting secondary players), and he still couldn’t seal the game.

I'm probably overthinking it, but it seems that the negative plays that the NFL doesn't want to remember don't make the highlights (week #2 Dalvin Cook Offensive Pass Interference Replay Review - a first-ever in the NFL - cost the Vikings a TD, but wasn't included in the 10 min game highlight).

@@threezus912 Because just like any zone coverage defense, if you have a lockdown corner, you put him on an island and shift your zone which reduces the area of the field they have to cover. Safeties start giving the other corners help that desperately need it.
@@threezus912 The Eagles use true cover 1 a fair amount. I don't know how much they do it compared to other teams in the league but Ramsey would be a huge upgrade for their defense, which needs it.

Technically the one play was a read option, but jones got taken away by the end and eagles had McLeod spying Rodgers so he threw the ball away. That was a designed run, but rodgers did the right thing and not take a 4 yard loss.
