Ow, Indycar, how I like you guys! These full races online for free are great! Don't really know how you guys make that work in your bussinessplan, but a loooot of people really appreciate it!
Singula, once the race is done on the tv live they don't have replays. So it doesnt matter if they're gonna put the race online or not there not making any more money. So then why not keep the fans happy by releasing them online and keep the fans.
Thank you for all the uploads. I've learned a lot. Had never seen an Indycar race. Now my 5th. I thought it were only American riders, surprised I know a few from F1. And many from other countries. Didn't know woman also compete. I thought all tracks were ovals, but I've seen some awesome tracks..And oval racing is cooler then I thought. While ovals are cooler with Nascar. Being injured and having no live sports to watch, it is awesome to see these. Also picked up Nascar. I like Indy more. But it still ain't F1 :) Greeings from Belgium.
It's like every time Wickens is gonna have a good race and possibly fight for the win, something has to happen to make him lose. Got taken out in St Pete, Newgarden's fantastic move around the outside and now this. He will win soon, hopefully as soon as Road America, but it's nice to see Carpenter take the blame, that's sportsmanship.
this was worse than st pete carpenter was no where should have let wickens by instead changed his line and hit wickens looked intentional to me have to laugh though the announcer blamed wickens for the incident
This was a nice race and a great day for IndyCar as the ABC era is mercifully over. I mean it sure is nice to see a bit of a post race show here whereas ABC couldn't get off the air fast enough as soon as the checkered flag flew.
i don't know... look at the attendance, i think f1 is just fine. I would be more careful toward formula e seeing how a lot of manufacturers are joining it
@ 10:01..... Whatchu talkn bout?? A win is a win!! If you outsmart everyone in terms of mileage racing & have a driver with the mindset to do so... What’s the big deal?? That’s how Jeff Gordon got his first career win.. It turned into fuel mileage & pit strategy race.. I know it’s two different series BUT it was the Coke 600 he won.. if you read this far then your pickn up what imma Putin down then. ✌🏻 *takes a bow*
What is that popping/scratching sound? It sounds like plastic being dragged on pavement, with a popping noise... are they letting up on the throttle a bit and the engines are backfiring?
I'm going to this race in 2019. What do I need to do to listen to radio or whatever. Give me some inside tips. Currently I only know to use the Verizon app on my phone. Y'all experts, let me know how to get best experience at my first indycar race.
Get a radio scanner and a list of frequencies and at the track you can tune into team radio. On top of that I'd recommend listening to the Indycar Radio broadcast for play by play live.
Who was in fault in will power accident and why? If I understood correctly it was the rookie fault but I didn't well understood exactly what was said. So if someone could explain. Thanks
Power's fault. If you look at Rahal he was able to hook the inside well and on previous laps Power didn't run that high on the track with similar length back to Hunter-Reay so I wouldn't say it's only Power's fault, it's more of the spotter not telling him that Clamen De-Melo was on the outside. It is also shown when Rossi was able to overtake others on the outside and Ryan Hunter-Reay went around the outside of Hinchcliffe and Hinch gave more than enough space.
Power's fault. Rahal's in-car showed him lifting the throttle just before Power and C.d.M. made contact, so lifting was possible (although, like Bell pointed out, too far into the corner and in the aero wash, the front of Power's car would just keep pushing and up the track you go). C.d.M. was front wing up to Power's cockpit, so Power was responsible to maintain his line. When I raced years ago, if I was front bumper up to the other car's steering wheel and on the outside, the other drivers would try to intimidate me by trying to run me up into the wall. If I lifted, that other driver won the battle, kept his position and I lost a bunch of track position due to lifting. If I stayed in it and didn't give, I would eventually brush the wall (angle the car right and it would limit the damage) but they would be nose into the wall, basically sending them a message to not try to intimidate me, because I'm not backing out and, icing on the cake, they would now have more damage than me.
Power tells it all in the interview. He was talking to his engineer and because of that wasn't receiving what his spotter said. So the accident was the fault of Power & his engineer because they choose a bad situation to talk over the radio.
As much as I want F1 to be more entertaining (Canada was booooring) I don't think it's the tracks that are the problem. The problem is the current regulations in F1. The complicated aero is creating way too much dirty air, making it way too difficult to pass. Look at the indycars, especially between last year's cars and this year's cars. The aero is way simpler, and it got even simpler with the newer cars. The racing is better since every car has simpler aero, and every car is the same. You get the same thing in the lower Formula series, (F2, F3, F3000, etc) the racing is way more exciting in those series as well. Hopefully the 2019 F1 regulations with simpler front aero improves the racing.
DocGorilla formula 1 cars are extremely safe, what would be different about an indy car hitting the wall rather than an f1 car. Its arguable f1 cars are safer due to the halo anyways. The problem isnt safety.
A rookie tries passing four cars on the outside, yet, the series champion as well as Indy 500 Champ is the one who gets penalized? Makes perfect sense. O_o
That was my reaction too, they could select neutral thumbnail, or create a custom one that doesn't spoil anything. It's not freaking rocket science, IndyCar...
How does that term not fit? Is a piece of racetrack not considered "land" to you? "Both drivers wished to claim ownership of this piece of land." still works.
Since when do they use the silly word "Real Estate"? "Ran outta room" was a lots better! LOL oh Dinny ferget the words... "back then" is shorter and better than... "back in the day" (silly "new" english)
Why Nascar Stock cars can’t go as fast as indycar: Stock car can actually go as fast as an indycar just, it’s very dangerous for a heavy race car to go that speed. So, to fix that, they put restrictor plate in stock car. Edit: A restrictor plate restricts the car from going too fast.
A NASCAR can not go that fast through corners even without an restrictor plate, a NASCAR is only decent on straights, in every other discipline it's a lazy dinosaur. Btw Indycars themselves are heavily limited by reduced boot pressure on super speedways, too.
armorgeddon let’s put you behind the wheel of a nascar race car and see if you think it’s lazy then. At MIS they go 218 mph going into the corners. It’s not they can’t go that fast the money behind series doesn’t want them to go that fast because with a car that weighs twice as much as these Indy cars and a tire that’s half as wide as the tires on these cars it’s not safe so the money aka the owners of the series slow them down so they don’t have some dumbass sue them
@@newageroidrage2442 ik this is two years late but he means a lazy dinosaur as its really heavy, aerodynamically a brick, has 850hp and no downforce, garbage brakes too it is a fight to make it turn because the car is a lazy dinosaur
@@precesionnoreaster1507 Thanks for clarifying and I’ll admit yes in a race the indy car has every advantage when it comes to who laps faster regardless of road or oval, just off of raw acceleration alone, but when it comes to durability the stock car has indy cars covered. You break loose in an indy car and your race is over because 9/10 times you’re going to pack it into the wall and break an axle or have a piece of your bodywork fly off when it comes around and backs into the wall and the time you lose repairing it is not obtainable on track, you break loose and scrape the wall in a stock car just hammer the fenders away from the tires and get back out there, the race isn’t over yet. You’re still fighting the wheel in either car thats why i don’t consider it lazy because regardless of what car you’re racing you still have to be on the top of your game. To me its apples and oranges the better debate would be Indy to F1 because they are of the same open wheel open cockpit platform of racing.
Zuze91 then why’d you watch it? Is it because it doesn’t feature a bunch of tattooed millionaires running around kicking a ball out of bounds for an hour and a half and never scoring any points that it’s boring to you?

Judahgt3 M F1 should do that
Black-Op345Gaming they really should
Every race organization should do this
Pretty much every major motorsports league does this, except snobby F1.

38:50 - First yella
1:34:50 - Sec yella
1:51:55 - Third
Thanks!

Preferable to that ABC garbage, but a lot to be desired.
Great race I was there! Tough break for Marco. He would have def got top 10 or top 5 if he didn't have his clutch issues :(
i was there person the race was great congrats Scot Dixon for that win cant wait to see Indycar in 2019
Great post, thank you. Appreciate you including the pre and post race, nice to see the whole show!
Great race, I want to see Indycar race at Texas in person. Hopefully, be a Great race again.
really sad to see empty grandstands :(
they need kimi, alonso and a third big star..
Only one interested is Alonso though would be happy if he does.
Adam Webb theres a decent amount of people in the front straight
In general it's pretty hard to fill every single grandstand, no matter which series it is
It wasn't empty, I was there. The place is gigantic and there were thousands of folks there.
23:02 - what a shame.
41:41.
Man, is Matheus Leist even finished with puberty? I mean, he’s young, but he can’t be *that* young.

Liberty should do the same with F1 racing. Watch out F1, you maybe losing fans to Indy Car Formula. More exciting, competitiveness as well.

The ToeCutter that’s facts
Watching again. Just needed some Indycar... Thanks corona virus.
2018 indycar is better than 2020.
I'm used to going to the race
Dangit RHR, you had no right to make that sandwich look so good
What is that popping/scratching sound? It sounds like plastic being dragged on pavement, with a popping noise... are they letting up on the throttle a bit and the engines are backfiring?
Yes they are letting off the gas and it is backfiring
On turns 1 and 3 are the best spots because that sound is just so satisfying

Who was in fault in will power accident and why? If I understood correctly it was the rookie fault but I didn't well understood exactly what was said. So if someone could explain. Thanks
Totally Powers' fault. It happened right in front of me he squeezed the guy into the fence when he should have gone way more inside.
Rob Bailey you were attending this race? Great. I'm in France, so it is a bit far away for me :)

35:00 start of race
Why cant the cars get close and pack race like last year? What's making them go single file this year?
Elijah Shell most probably 'cause of aero kit
Less downforce with the new aero kit so drafting is less impactful
Less downforce and a few drivers being scared that don't have balls like they use to
can we have f1 race one oval a year please?
As much as I want F1 to be more entertaining (Canada was booooring) I don't think it's the tracks that are the problem. The problem is the current regulations in F1. If they hit the wall in an F1 car they could easily die. Its not really a fair comparison, these cars have a different safety envelope.
DocGorilla formula 1 cars are extremely safe, what would be different about an indy car hitting the wall rather than an f1 car. Its arguable f1 cars are safer due to the halo anyways. The problem isnt safety.
Michael Park what about returning to ground effect like N. ROS suggested after the exhibition race in Monaco with K. ROS?
BJØRN - Björn Magnus 100 percent agree, more focus on ground effects would make the cars faster, easier to race, and better looking
Can I take part in the race? ????
You have the balls?
I just have always had one question... How are these drivers able to drive at high speeds with such huge testicles stuffed up under the steering box??
The cars have a special cut out in the seat that they can stick their balls in. Keep the weight low and helps the car stick to the track
Small crowd
A rookie tries passing four cars on the outside, yet, the series champion as well as Indy 500 Champ is the one who gets penalized? Makes perfect sense. O_o
Indycar noob- What does 600 stands for?
600 km. 248 laps X 1.5 miles per lap X 1.6 (1.6 km per 1 mile) = 595 km or a 600 km race.
Thomas Stafford makes sense, but why they are using km's for this race, arent they using miles usually? Like indy 500.
@Baris. Makes it sound longer than it actually is.
Thomas Stafford thats strange, thanks man.
The 600 is because the race is 600 miles long
seriously indycar, putting a picture of the winner in the thumbnail... really poor form
That image is from 4:54 when they were reviewing last year's race.
Owen Gilliland good to know. Thank you. I guess I will still enjoy
That was my reaction too, they could select neutral thumbnail, or create a custom one that doesn't spoil anything. It's not freaking rocket science, IndyCar...
Literally says 2017 in it
it does? let me grab me loupe
They got enough money to do this for free so don't give them any ideas !!
